Marcelo Bielsa is now available. He will quit Chile.
Top class manager. Don't have a clue if he speaks English

One of the most attack minded manager's out there and excellent to get the best out the players.

              3-3-1-3 IIRC

Don't have a clue how a back three would cope in the PL.

Creative accountancy would be able to ensure that there are ways around new laws? or do you actually believe that this really will stop the Citys of the world?

I heard that for instance players wages had to be a certain percentage of turnover? well why can't one of the sheikh's other companies sponsor the club's car park for £100million and therefore allowing another x on wages?

stupid example but you get my point?
The rules and regulations cover such things

Any over zealous or suspicious sponsorships would not be counted towards the clubs revenue

For instance lets say one of the Sheikhs companies decided to rent an executive box and pay over the odds for this it is ignored and a general average from the clubs other executive boxes prices would be applied to that particular box

I am sure there are ways around it but from what I have read the rules are pretty stringent and wide ranging and cover many avenues/back doors that people like you or me would dream of for getting round them

Nothing that anyone could do to stop that.

They could buy executive boxes for £100m a year.

There are some ways to get around it.

All of this is covered in the rules and regulations so I think you will have to be more creative than this

I think I saw something similar about over the market sponsorship deals from closely tied partners. It is UEFA's competition and they can enforce what rules they want, I'm hopeful about this.
                    * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I was discussing this a few weeks ago with somebody and I brought up a whole host of scenarios (a couple of which have been mentioned here) and all of them wouldnt meet UEFA's criteria the rules seem pretty tight

He's basically inferring that he has doubts over the desire of one or more of his players. I know he's probably not saying that, he's merely saying Reina's 100% committed and focused and ultra professional but.... with spin he's potentially fed the media another story there.
God, you lot have too much time on your hands!

It doesn't matter what the bloke says, you lot will shoot him down.

There's probably a few players who aren't commited to LFC as much as Reina, should we be happy with that?

All he's saying is that he'd rather have Reina's desire than someone like Babel.

I think Roy will ALWAYS divide opinion (even more so than Rafa)

No matter what he does from here on in his reputaiton is somewhat tarnished amongst LFC fans

He got the job over Kenny and after Rafa was sacked which are probably two black marks against him in many peoples eyes

He came in bought average players ,dumbed down expectation, slagged the fans off, gave us our worst start for over 50 years, then blamed everyone but himself for that

I never thought Roy stood much of a chance but to be honest. I've been surprised by how many few favours hes done for himself. I expected him to actually come across in his interviews as understated and somewhat modest but so far we've seen a lot of self serving nonsense

So no matter what he says from here on in it is going to have the bones picked out of it

Thats the way of the world unfortunately

i admit Roy has made a balls of few press conferences and said some silly things, but literally anything he says is jumped all over.

I think he is dumbing down expectations, and avoiding giving straight answers, IMO he is wary to commit to some of these answers as Rafa promised (this is not starting a Rafa argument) 4th place and didn't deliver and i don't think Roy would ever make such a statement in the likelihood he'll fail to deliver, so his answers are wayward and non committal.

So he's dumbing down his interviews and dumbing down talk of unhappy players, and not saying much of any interest to honest. All managers have their ways of answering questions, some are straight forward, some talk **** and some are cryptic, its all to feed the press with something to chew on. I'm sure it's much much different behind the scenes. Once he keeps winning i don't really care how boring or vague his interviews are, i'm sure what he says to the press and what goes on behind closed doors are completely different.

Anyways after a poxy start and some word vomit, Roy has done well to recover, another win against Wigan and we'll be right back in there, another loss and the pressure will be right back on him.

The joys of being a manager at a top club.

Roy will win people over if he gets results. He will have to do ridiculouy well mind.
