I have a suspicion that most people on here who are complaining the loudest about how useless/disorganised/indecisive FSG/NESV are, have probably never had to make a single decision of any consequence in their lives. In fact I'd say they probably struggle to decide between boiled or fried rice for their Sunday night takeaway every single time.
Now obviously this leaves it open for every person coming on and claiming to be brain surgeons or Field Marshalls in Iraq or Red ****in Adair who make life or death decisions every waking minute but there is a possibility that our level of disappointment and frustration at the moment is boiling over into ignoring the nature of the decisions that FSG want to take and the way in which they want to take them. Undoubtedly there are faults in how they are publicly handling the situation but hopefully those faults will be rectified by how things are being done privately. They seem to have a huge level of respect from Baseball fans in the US so my hope is that all this will be forgotten when our new CEO, new manager, new system and new players are all up and running in the next few months. I'll take survival and no more than that in the PL as a down-payment on better times.
I say this as someone who felt that Rafa had to go at the end of last season as it seemed obvious to me that something was irretrievably broken and was willing to give Roy the benefit of the doubt at the start and who also believes the appointment of Comolli to be a step in the wrong direction.
I’m heartened by those coming on here advocating a bit of patience because the level of anger some are experiencing is unsustainable.
