I would like to ask every journalist that still backs Roy if he is good enough for Man U? Would they want that he takes over after Fergie?

If the answer is no then he isn't good enough for Liverpool.

A mate of mine is a Fulham ST holder. The other week, i think fulham were in the bottom 3. He dislikes Hughes style of play and doesnt rate him as a manager.

I asked him if he'd want Hodgson back - he said no.

      Says it all.

The reality is until we get our house in order with a new direction for the club every jackal in the media is going to have a pop at us. Likely we'll just limp to the end of the season finishing outside any european spots then hopefully in the summer a new manager who'll clear out the deadwood and start bringing in some exciting talent to the club.

          Barclay IS a cunt though.

I remember when G&H were here and we looked in danger of going into administration - he was on Sunday Suppliment, saying how he didnt feel sorry for Liverpool fans and stopped only mildly short of saying it was OUR fault.

Utter cunt with a serious agenda. I'd just like to know why.

I would give the caretaker role to Thommo if they don't want Dalglish. Thommo's done it before when Houllier was ill and we finished 2nd that year.

Barclay has no agenda. he just has an outsiders view of things.

He speaks very highly of Liverpool fans. He just gives out daft comments and when he gets a reaction he snaps out at those daft enough to rise to his bait.

But whilst he does have a moan at those fans, when pushed he does always go back and say Liverpool have the best fans in the world.

I disagree with his views, but it's silly to suggest that everyone who has a different view has an agenda. I'm on Facebook posting comments about Hodgsons situation, crazy how many fans of both LFC and other clubs have the claws out and slate Rafa, or back Roy or say no one could do a better job as the squad's ****ed.
                    Forwards.......

Nah, **** the Hodgson thing - who in their right mind, wouldnt feel sorry for ANY set of fans having to deal with what G&H did to us?

That's bollocks. It's not trying to get a rise, it's pure ****wittery and cuntery. Nobody comes out with **** like that.

I hate Man Utd. But I detest people coming into English clubs to make a quick buck. The Premiership may be a global thing, but that is what has killed it in one way.

I feel sorry for any decent, normal fans whose club is being raped like that.

United arent on the brink of adimistration though.

Manchester United v Liverpool: Roy Hodgson walks on amid confusion as old rivals lay in wait
Roy Hodgson is expected to lead Liverpool out at Old Trafford to face Manchester United in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday. Beyond that, his future remains shrouded in uncertainty. Never before will the Anfield side have confronted their fiercest rivals in a state of such confusion.

The club’s manager has stood on the brink for 10 days. Defeat at home by Wolves on Dec 29 sealed Hodgson’s fate in the eyes of Fenway Sports Group, Liverpool's owner, convincing the American consortium to end his reign as soon as possible. The group’s initial plan to make the first appointment of their tenure a permanent one this summer was discarded, and the search for a caretaker began.

Abject surrender at Blackburn on Wednesday night seemed to sound the death knell, yet Hodgson remains in place. It is a stay of execution, rather than a pardon, but FSG’s failure to put him out of his misery has left Liverpool rudderless.

It should be of no surprise that Sir Alex Ferguson, Hodgson’s close friend, believes the Liverpool manager’s record demands respect. It is the Manchester United manager’s habit to patronise those rivals he does not see as a threat while scorning those who trouble his primacy.

“I had a very good relationship with Ferguson,” Hodgson’s predecessor, Rafael Benítez, once said. “But then something changed. Maybe it is because we were winning more.”

The Spaniard’s theory was borne out by his old foe’s comments on Friday. “Roy Hodgson doesn’t need to justify his record as a manager,” Ferguson said. “His experience and performance level everywhere he’s been have been terrific.”

he might want to ask some Blackburn fans about Roy being 'terrific' wherever he goes.
