After 3 games against ****e oppostion; say it softly thou, he might have just got 3 lucky breaks in each of the 3 games. They say with good players the quality eventually shines through when they have a bad patch. With Roy the opposite; ****eness will reek through the good patch before he goes back to the usual ****eness. Records & history does not lie and his won't.

                  "Howdy....lurker here.

Just wanted to say I totally agree with Banditos.

I've always stuck by the managers in the past. Liverpool have never been ones to sack a manager after a few months, it's just not our way.

However, historically (i.e. the Liverpool way), we've employed from the bootroom, so they're steeped in tradition and are following the path that the previous have set (pass, move etc). That doesn't really exist anymore...not since Roy.

I think Hodgson was a bit of a panic appointment to steady the ship and get a media friendly manager. As several people have said, he's way out of his depth, and has a small team mentality, which has been compounded by his signings, and some awful tactical decisions.

If he was manging Fulham now and got these results, everyone would love him still. At Liverpool, it just won't do.

First time I've said it of a Liverpool manager.....get him out asap, so a new manager can suss out the team and make some decent signings in Jan.

And so.....I go back to Lurkerland."

He's the luckiest manager I know. Crappy games, no tactics, constant shifting of players totally out of their natural positions etc. and he still managed to win 3 games in a row. Unbelievable.

Good thing John watched the game and even if he is not too much knowledgeable but football and L4 I am sure he has saw we were **** and if it wasn't for few lucky bounces we would've been defeated.

We have to admit things have changed a little.
                          1. We're winning.
                          2. We're playing better.
                          3. The squad is being rotated.
                          4. Some young players are being given chances.
                          5. Poulsen is no longer a starter for big games.
                          6. His press conferences have got less embarrassing.
                          7. He's no longer in sole charge of transfers.

I reckon he's here for a while. Better get used to it, folks.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

it seems like he is learning a bit from his early mistakes both on and off the pitch. The team just needs to learn how to play through a press on our own half and it will look half decent.

Is it? Last night aside, a competition in which there are always loads of changes, we've been unchanged for three consecutive games. And I'm certain it'll be a fourth successive game on Sunday.

He has improved though, no question, but in my mind it's not enough. Not yet anyway. The football is still ugly.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Well, if you're going to discount games where the squad has been rotated then yeah, I guess, you're right, it hasn't been rotated.

I can't see him ever being good enough for us in the long-term but I think we're stuck with him for now. Whether it's because of him or in spite of him, we're winning and that excuses a lot of faults.
