You argument is hardly conclusive though Craig. Gerrard isn't really someone who plays 'into the box' but he still scored a lot of goals. It depends on the accuracy as well, then there are other factors (such as players shooting from outside the area etc).
        Are we winning?

I dont think their first XI was especially better than ours on the day. Their fullbacks probably were, the CBs a much of a muchness. Our midfield was definitely stronger, as was our strikeforce.

And again, as i said, player v player comparisons are about as meaningful as that cheese sandwich i mentioned earlier.

If you think their midfield of Mikel, Zhirkov and Ramires, is better than ours of Lucas, Meireles and Gerrard, then fair enough.

You also think that Kyrgiakos is a ****ebag, a decent signing and a **** player, though a decent buy, while at the same time being not a good signing.

So you'll forgive me for not worrying that your opinions and mine differ. It's something of a relief.
          Haha what!!!!!

So your saying the ageing Carra and Marty "can't win a header Skrtel" are even remotely on par with Terry and Alex? Seriously Craig i know you argue things down to the ground with everyone but thats just ridiclous.

          So lets compare again:

          Chelsea: Ivanovic/Terry/Alex/Cole
          Liverpool:Kelly/Carra/Skrtel/Konch

          Haha WTF!!!!

If you drop Malouda and Kalou deeper in to the midfield with Anelka alone upfront, well then they have a better midfield than us on the day, depends on Ancellottis formation.

And Torres is class, he has been off form, and Kuyt is literally just back from injury, his first game back remember?

Now compare them to Malouda who is on fire, Kalou who has been on fire, and Anelka who is excellent and unplayable on his day. So on paper and on form no contest!!!

And as regards Soto like i said (and several agreed) that he is a ****e footballer but he is a beast in the air which we will sorely lack so he was an effective signing, sure you think Glen Johnson was a good signing FFS so you'll forgive me if i take everything you say with a massive pinch of salt.

If it makes you feel better about yourself, you are right, your always right, well done.

Daft comment disguised as a joke

However **** they might have been (babel and Riera arent ****), they'd still be more dangerous in the box, than Mascher was 50 yards back. Fhacht.

              Blah blah blah...
We dealt with them fairly comfortably and won. Cant have been that ****e of an XI...and nobody was talking about 'form'.

Love the way Soto has now become an 'effective' signing Keep shifting those goalposts You're a laughing stock on here. Take the hint and get back to your stickle bricks.

Babel & Riera were unmitigated **** for us

The only way those 3 players would be dangerous in the box is if they were were wearing suicide bombers vests - FACT

I dont often do this with you, but you're being really daftly stubborn, to the point of a pain in the arse.

However **** you think a player may be, he's far more likely to score if he's in the box, than a better play is, while standing back on the halfway line.

Lets leave it there, because you're just arguing for the sake of it now.

Just in the same way that Voronin, Riera and Babel arent 'Luis Garcia', Mascherano is also not Alonso.

I agree with the sentiment and principles behind it but those players disappointed so often I have no faith in them

I'd have more faith in Jim ****ting one in from 40 yards than on them impacting on a tight game

I can see the argument you are making but like Rafa I'm not sure I'd have put my cock on the chopping block and gambled it on them 3

You keep strumming the same old tune and ignoring the rest when your wrong. Selective posting is rife

He is a ****ebag of a footballer, but he is a monster in the air there is no doubting that and i have said as much several times, he has been a decent signing for the cost
Wow did i actually say this!!! Decent or effective, much of a muchness, i'll leave the bitterness with you.

Your just an opinionated joker, and you are completely full of **** just as you as your own self importance. Compelling Craig strikes again, would argue his way out of a paper bag, keep on living the dream your the man Craig

As i said mate, that's fair enough but i dont think Rafa particularly saw the argument or agreed with the sentiment even, so if he'd had better than Keane, Riera, Babel, Voronin etc on the bench, i still doubt he would've taken off a DM and put on a striker, regardless. He had far too much emphatic belief in the system.
