The simple fact of the matter is they should both relay their feelings on the current direction and style of play in no uncertain terms to the owners rather than issue hints about their futures. If the owners fail to act they would then be well within their rights to **** off to some club that has ambition.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostI've never felt that Torres or Reina truly WOULD leave.
Now i'm convinced they will, if Hodgson stays much longer. John Henry must realise this and act accordingly. The continued employment of Hodgson will set us back years.
What worries me is we wont have a CEO until january at the earliest which means if they are waiting for that to happen Roy could well get until summer. If he did would we really expect Torres and Reina to hang around to see if he got the bullet, who replaced him and how we perform under the new man.I think they will have been patient with the club for long enough by then and would fully respect their decision if they left.

Just getting the feeling back in me toes from last night
Does it always have to be a typically bleak winter evening when playing them pesky pie aters ?
As an aside to the title of this thread but fairly relevent to it, and i don't know if this has been said previously,
But that midfield that finished the game of Shelvey , Poulsen, Lucas and Eccleston was by some distance the 'worst' i've ever witnessed since i started going the match 34 years ago
I'm really struggling to think of the second most inadequate if i'm honest
I'll have a stab at Walters, Rednapp ,Stewart and Thomas in 93 though my view on that midfield maybe fairly prejudiced on the fact that Paul Stewart would have to have played/be included in any, all time worst midfield
That said , he did score the odd goal as much as i disliked him, and the other 3 mentioned did contribute to the scoresheet occassionally
The four that finished last night collectively is a barometer on how quickly we're currently sinking

its a tricky one at the moment CraigOriginally posted by Craig_H View PostMerlboo - any possibility of SOS campaigning for the removal of Hodgson ASAP?
I'm not exaggerating when i say, every week he's still in the job, he is damaging LFC severely and either he goes ASAP, or Reina and Nando WILL go.
He has to be ****ed off. And now.
I'd definitely be in 2 minds if i'm honest and this is why
we're trying to engage the new owners positively at the moment so Hodgy's certainly throwing a spanner in the works
even knowing he's out of his depth ,its a little alien for us (SOS) to demonstrate against a manager
there'll be an EGM before chrimbo and if the impasse continues then i'm pretty sure it's going to crop up and maybe even a vote may be called for
personally i'd advocate pressure as a fan and if the fanbase feels as strongly then i'd hope that SOS wouldn't need to lead on whatever way you look at it, a very delicate issue
objectively , i just can't see him turning it around ...in fact i'd be astounded if he did
to sum up
lets see if NESV heed the warnings in the coming month or so coming into January
if things are still looking bleak then yeah , it may be time to give him a nudge
oh and currently listening to

and did Jimmy Carter play in that midfield i mentioned earlier ?

That's a fair response and i see where you're coming from.
I fear we have a battle against time though, and we're edging very close to the point where top players will decide enough is enough - and losing those will set us back years. The Hodgson situation is seriously dangerous for LFC and the damage his tenure could do, seems so easily avoidable.
NESV somehow need to be made aware of how bad Hodgson is, and how badly the fans want him gone.
And, i think i'm right in saying that Mr Henry follows SOS on twitter...
Seems a fairly easy solution, right there.

If Henry does follow LFC and supporters views as he says (and I believe him) he's going to have a pretty clear view.
I understand your concerns but I think he's going to want to get his executive team in place first (CEO), then get a manager that fits into the team. He's going to want to resist hasty decisions that he subsequently regrets. Unless Hodgosn comes up with some spectacular results I'm sure he is/won't be seen by NESV as the long term solution.
I don't really want to get onto SOS discussions again but I sincerely hope they don't enter the domain of passing resolutions on the manager. What would be next, team selection?

I can understand wanting to get his executive team in place first, but this will cost us Torres and Reina IMO.
Normally, of course you would be more methodical and take your time. In this case however, time is against us and if we lose those two, then forget CL football for a very long time.

Sometimes you need to know where you came from before you can work out where you are going. I am Roy Hodgson and came from nowhere to #Lfc
