the man's implying that the club is where it is in the league because of its playing squad.
so he basically tells his own player not to worry because they're exactly punshing their weight. if the press didn't turn a blind eye on him but instead gave him the rough ride our previous manager enjoyed then he'd have lost it already.
he's constantly defending himself and his own trophyless petty record. being full of yourself while being unsuccessful at the same time isn't the best mix of things, is it? time to get rid, really.

someone on TLW is suggesting that rafa will be sacked after the world club championship.

could be time to bring him back. got booted out of here, will be humbled by his experience in inter. has plenty to prove to critics and will be hungry for revenge.

if he comes theres a chance that we wont lose torres and reina too. nesv will like him because he's young, loved by fans, and likes the odd statistic or two.

we wont have this chance again.

If Rafa hadnt had his stint at Liverpool, I would suggest that he would be the perfect candidate for them now based on his own scientific approach to football, as i understand he is also well versed in the systems of Mr Beane,

However he did come to Liverpool, did some great stuff but in the end just couldnt maintian it for one reason or another and the fact also is that the owners alluded to Rafa's away record aswell, in order to defend Hodgson, which suggests to me he is not top of the list.

But as a old poster once mentioned , never rule out a U turn, and anything can happen in football.

I would like Rafa back, I do feel he would be great with the right backing and also not having to fight the owners week in and week out. I know he had issues but maybe a new start back here might well change the way he manages.

I would like Rafa back, I do feel he would be great with the right backing and also not having to fight the owners week in and week out. I know he had issues but maybe a new start back here might well change the way he manages.

Rafa with proper backing in the transfer market would bring us #19 in quick time. Half of the team we came almost won the league with were cheaper 2nd choice options for him. If he got his first choice players (Vidic, Evra, Simoa, Alves for instance) he would put together an amazing squad.
