      Gerrard cant possibly have the ambitions that he has, and also back Hodgson. The two things are mutually exclusive.

        The biggest problem with the club now is Hodgson, he needs to go, and if anyone is still backing him they should all go too.
        The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

              You could argue the same point for Curbishly though, who SG is clearly quoted to have wanted. As much as I love the bloke as a player, I'm not sure his judgement when it comes to managerial candidaties is that good.
