I wonder if his son reads the messageboards too? Tell your Dad to hurry up and retire please!Originally posted by Roy Hodgson"January is the window for agents and journalists. Every day my son scours the newspapers and tells me we're linked with this player and that player, and a lot of them I can quite honestly say have never been mentioned in any discussions. And yet still in newspapers we're going to sign them."

I don't have time to read all of them but, and this doesn't need to be a secret - it is something of a utopia for me to be able to read EST1892 and RAWK. Would you like a Smint?

Liverpool to Appoint Didier Deschamps as Roy Hodgson Has Three Games to Save Job
Anfield boss’s job hangs in the balance
Some sources seem to suggest that Roy Hodgson has three games to save his Anfield job. New owners NESV have stood by the Liverpool boss thus far but the inconsistent performances under Hodgson’s guidance have left the John W Henry considering his options.
With seemingly eminently winnable matches over the Christmas and New Year period, Home matches against Wolves and Bolton and then away at Blackburn Rovers, Liverpool will then decide on the basis of those results whether they will stick with the under fire boss.
The Merseyside club’s new owners is all to aware that with the January transfer window on the horizon that they would not want to hand any major investment to Roy Hodgson only to then sack him later on in the season. Therefore the next ten days will very much decide the former Fulham boss’s fate and any slip ups and it is likely the club will sack the 63 year old.
Some reports are suggesting that Marseille manager Didier Deschamps is being lined up as a replacement for Hodgson should he fail to impress over the coming fixtures. The former French international midfielder had a great opening season at the Stade Velodrome helping the club helping the Ligue 1 side to the their first title in 17 years.
Not sure how much credence i can give to articles that contain such a stupid spelling mistake, but meh....

What's with this 'three games' malarkey?
Going by this it will be quite the managerial merry-go-round in three games time when Mark Hughes, Avram Grant and Roy Hodgson are all unemployed.
It's just unfortunate that Fat Sam is also in that predicament as he'd win *everything* if at a big club. The Leonardo to Inter Milan is a smokescreen really.

I hate this 3 games crap that always seems to come out. If his performance over 17 games isn't good enough, 3 games isn't going to take us from a bad position to a good position. Our current run of form is abysmal 2 wins and 1 draw in the last 6 PL games. Even 3 wins would still make our form average (5 wins and 1 draw in 9 games). And give us an average of 1.55 point per game over the season. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I could do that. I know someone, who's married to someone that knows Hodgson's son.Originally posted by TheElephantMan View PostI wonder if his son reads the messageboards too? Tell your Dad to hurry up and retire please!
Want me to pass your message on?A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.
