If we'd beaten Wolves, Blackpool and Sunderland at home (all of which we should easily be capable of) we'd be on 33 points now in 6th, 3 points behind Spurs in 4th with a game in hand!

This is exactly why myself and Danny (and others) have been saying we ARE capable of nicking 4th, with a proper manager. And also why, whilst others have been giving all the 'no rush, be patient' stuff, we've maintained that Hodgson SHOULD have gone after Blackpool, he SHOULD have gone after Everton, he SHOULD have gone after Newcastle, he SHOULD have gone after Wolves....and he ****ing well SHOULD go now.

Even now, as unlikely as it is, 4th is STILL not entirely gone. But the sad reality is that the owners' arsing around also means that Hodgson is also still not gone, and this will ultimately cost us any realistic challenge for 4th.

I think he's got 2 games left now, just a feeling that he'll be allowed to see us through Blackburn and the United game at the weekend and then he'll be off.

In my opinion they are leaving it too late. What they call sensible approach I call brinksmanship with my club.

I agree with you guys I posted earlier that it would be possible for us to get 4th if we were to get rid of him and go on a good run, we'd probably need ~40-45 points from our remaining games, we have been capable of of that kind of form before. But obviously it would be difficult and Hodgson would have to go for that to be remotely possible, if he'd gone earlier the task would be easier. With every game he stays it becomes less and less likely.

If he goes it would have to be straight after the Blackburn game, so not to hamper our changes in the cup, So in all honesty I can't see it being before then, by which point our (domestic) season will probably be over

It's easy to say.

But then it was easy to claim Mourinho was going to join LFC when it was patently obvious he wasn't and, more to the point, he didn't.

I assume you mean 4-2-3-1? Your formation has 11 outfield players. All top teams play 4-2-3-1. Only dinosaurs like Hodgson play 4-4-2

Great read, was sensational player and trying to carve out name for himself in management.

Great attitude to football and the way it should be played, very damning comments about Kuyt, and i do agree to a certain extent. Liverpool would be a big move for him, but along with Villas Boas,Deschamps,Klopp i reckon he ticks alot of the boxes the suits upstairs are looking for, albeit slightly behind the others.
