I hope that is the case. There is also the possibility that FSG's strategy is to stick with Roy till summer and then replace him and they are going to stick to their strategy whatever happens.Originally posted by Neil Young View PostI can't believe there could be anything holding up his departure other than selecting someone appropriate to take over.
His position is clearly untenable.
If he survives this week, I am resigning myself to Roy being here till the end of the season.

Good point, to Roy LFC is a job. To every single one of our previous managers it was their life.Originally posted by -V- View PostI just find it incredible that Hodgson just doesn't seem to understand how badly we are doing. To him its just a bad moment and bad day at the office, he just doesn't grasp the damage he is doing. He's obviously used to this at Fulham so it seems normal to himJames Philip Milner Fanclub #1

Not sure they want to have spent 300million on a championship team......Originally posted by peekay View PostI hope that is the case. Well, I don't know if that's justified but I suppose time will tell. It could just be that they want someone in place to take over immediately (if only temporarily) and that might be why it might not happen this week. As I say though, I now firmly believe it should be done tomorrow.Originally posted by peekay View PostI hope that is the case. I agree that was their strategy but results and performances have been so poor that they're going to have act sooner than May..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Not that he had much success at Bolton or has had much success here, but Sammy Lee still has recent PL experience. Plenty of clubs have sacked the manager with no suitable candidate to step up. It’s not fair on Roy and more importantly it’s not fair on us to allow him near the dugout again.Originally posted by Neil Young View PostI can't believe there could be anything holding up his departure other than selecting someone appropriate to take over.

I wouldn’t actually mind seeing Sammy in charge for one game, at least he tried to play football at Bolton. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
