The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

They are not endearing themselves to the LFC fans thats for sure. Getting thumped by Mancs in the cup will be the a massive kick in the bollox aswell, IMO we don't stand a chance of winning.

I wonder do they not want to give it to Kenny the job, as he holds so much sway with the fans? And if anything ever went wrong they find it very hard to get rid of him and might face the reaction from the Anfield faithful? He is the perfect man to slip into the role in this crisis.

The longer Roy stays the worse things get, surely they know its not good for the club and not good for them financially.

perhaps NESV/ FSG know things we dont.

perhaps getting the man in they want is taking longer than they hoped, maybe if they want a temp till the end of the year they dont want to put them in against the scum as first match incase they lose and the fans are on his back straight away.

obviously the longer it goes on the worse it looks but it doesnt mean they dont have a plan and are not following it.

also it doesnt mean they do

I'm sure they're not oblivious to that.

They're waiting - either because they can't find the right man to take over, they believe if they delay a little longer then they'll be able to make a permanent appointment or they're simply waiting until after Sunday for some (probably the obvious) reason.

While I don't think they can afford to sit back any longer I very much doubt they're at all relaxed about the situation so I think you need to separate apparent inaction from not really giving a ****.
                .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

just been in a meeting for an hour and all i could think of was the joy of having a new manager in by the end of the meeting.

                  Alas. No

Has to happen soon though? doesn't it? please ? pretty please with a cherry on top.

The worrying thing for me is that the decision has moved beyond critical now

Its absolutely essential we sack Roy

Hes doing long term damage to the club and some of it could be irreperrable (if it isnt already)

Even if it is not the ideal time (in their eyes) to make the decision I think they will have to

Remember being in management means making decisions at inappropriate times

Well the only reason i can think of is that if they wait after Sunday thn we can at least concentrate on a relegation battle!!

I'm clinging to the tweet from clancy about the meeting with Roy, if nothing has happened before 16:00 I won't be expecting anything (tbh he isn't going anywhere IMO).

                            Paralysis through analysis perhaps.

Anyone could achieve similar results, even no manager at all.

He is sucking the life out of the club, can't they see it. It needs to happen now.

Its 8am in the morning in Boston, just because Roy hasnt been sacked a few hours after a match doesnt mean he wont be replaced.

They have to have a replacement in placement be it Kenny or Segura or whoever, but it needs to be done correctly so as to limit the impact to the club.

replacing a manager is a massive decision that will impact the club positively or negatively. There are players that got played by Roy and ones that loathed him.

I actually think that they had a strategy in place to replace roy once the new CEO was in place and certainly did not expect performances to deteriorate to such an extent.

If they are finalising the choice of CEO I guess that unless it is an internal who will take the role, this whole situation with an incumbent CEO and with a potential management change is very very sensitive.

I think that it is very important that no matter how much stress and furore is around, the same calm methodical approach is taken towards any key decision making.

Personally I am releived that the owners appear to be trying to do things the right way, rather than reacting to pressure.

however I just hope they realise that sacking Roy is the right thing to do.

I guess that today will be spent negotiating his settlement and that of his replacment before any announcement is made.

I do however expect Roy not to be in charge for the Man Utd game.
Jacques Brel is alive and well and playing at Anfield
