All the sentiments coming from NESV during interviews and the live one they did on the club channel spelled out 'long term' plans. A decision made in a midweek crisis meeting just doesn't seem right.

Can't see a new manager coming in with the pressure of a first game at old trafford, and i cant see a decision made only hours after another dismal result. Some time next week there will be a decision imo.

To be fair, if they are having a meeting about Roy, I don't it would be their first. They must know their own minds on the matter already and I just wish they'd tell us.

Some would call it sensible consideration / analysis with a view of their long term plan

        Others would call it ditherring

that match is basically irrelevant so its about next week when we could get closer to the relegation zone (likely to against blackpool FFS!). So if they sack him now or Monday doesnt really make much difference. The point is tieing up the new man.

Maybe Roy's agreed to mutual consent if we lose to Man U/Blackpool like that 'signed forms to leave rumour? who knows...
The FA Cup game IS relevant. We can win there with Kenny in charge. FA Cup is the only major trophy we can win in 2011 and we better give it our all to win it.

Leeds beat them in 3rd round at OT last year remember, so why can't we?

I can understand not wanting to throw a new manager in at Old Trafford, but with Roy in charge we will lose, with someone else in charge we might have a chance.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

i think they are going to wait until after the utd game.

i think the club are resigned to the fact that we're likely to get beat by utd and rather than have a caretake/new manager lose his first game (and that game being utd) they'll let roy stay in charge, we'll get beat and then they can blame the utd result on roy and start frsh.

There's no way a caretake / new manager would be able to install his methods / tactics between now and sunday - it's the wrong time to appoint anybody as if utd beat us they'll only get tarnished with that result.

It wouldnt surprise me that hodgson doesnt get sacked until straight after utd game

Here, they just talk about Blackburn Rovers, but that's just a very small part of a 26-year career. To most English journalists it's the only part. I've got an excellent track record in Sweden, Switzerland, Italy and in Denmark, where FC Copenhagen was my last job before I went to Udinese. We won the league there by seven points.
                        Sound familiar?

It really is a tough one from their perspective though. We have 2 games in hand on some teams that could potentially take us up to 7th. In a transitional year between owners and managers is it enough to deem acceptable until the summer?

Anyone been on RAWK recently? their forums appear to still be in melt down mode.
I think today is even more mental, forum madness wise, than getting rid of the 2 cunts was.

It could be worse and we could win and therefore buy Roy more time.
