I don't believe the reason for not sacking Hodgson is because of fsg waiting for Dalglish to return. They're just dithering.imo. Dalglish is back on the 10th but I still expect Hodgson to be in charge against Blackpool on the 12th.

Heard this on the way home. Aldridge did very well putting the right points across. Sanchez is another aspiring LMA man and has no clue on the whole back story of LFC the past 18 months. His LFC are not a 'big club' "at the moment" is just another load of cliched bollox troted out to get emails and phone ins.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostThe whole debate here:
Aldo puts Sanchez in his place, as does Dan Roan.
The fact of the matter is, if LFC werent a big club, nobody would know who the **** Lawrie Sanchez is.
Claridge and Motson are the biggest culprits of swallowing Sky spin hook line and sinker. They won't even entertain alternative views on LFC last year. Set in stone for them.

I think unsettling one squad of players to please another is the wrong option. Especially when I think what the club needs is a lift, Segura wouldn't provide this.Originally posted by Arn View PostBecause they been out of the game to long. The game has changed a lot. We don't have a clue if they could handle all the big egos in the squad.
I would pick Segura before Dalglish or Thompson any day of the week. Our squads is built to suit the style Segura use in the youth teams. The Rafa style.
Then you also need to look at what type of manager we want in the summer. If it is a similar one to Rafa or a more British one.
The caretaker manager will make the players play his system. That means that if we get in Dalglish for example and then sign up manager that play a different system and different style than Dalglish then we first would need to change our style to suit Dalglish and then change it again before next season to suit the new manager.
If we let Segura take the job a few months then we probably not need to make more or less any changes at all to our system before next season. That means that it get easier for a new manager because we would already play his style of football and system.
One change instead of two.Forwards.......

I just don't think they want Kenny. Maybe he still wants the job permanently and the position of having to choose between Kenny for the fans, and their man for their plans, is absolutely not one that the owners want to be in I wouldn't think. Unless Kenny says 100% he doesn't want to manage us next season I think they'll stay well clear.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

I agree with your general sentiments about NESV and judging them over the long term. I truly believe they are putting a structure in place with a long term view. Their success in the US sports arena is a testament to that.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostI've been very critical of NESV.
But in fairnes to them, they should only be judged in September. Let's see who we have in charge then and who is in our playing squad.
This season is dead, partly down to their dilly dallying yes, but it's dead none the less. Next season is now where we should be looking. NESV said they were all about the long term, and it seems they didn't need poker faces to sing that tune as they've been straight up.
It may drive us all mad now but we have to be realistic now at this moment in time. We are entiltled to be angry now, but let's not let this moment cloud our judgement. We'll see what they're all about soon enough. Let's hang fire for now before giving out another SOS signal.
However in football you need to plan with one eye on the present and another eye on the future. To a certain extent we need to be short termist here. If they dilly dally around in sacking Hodgson and our performance drops further, they will have to shoulder a huge portion of the blame. They have had ample proof in the last month that Hodgson is not up to the task.

There's really only one candidate for me.
Scottish Manager
Plays intelligent attacking football
Actually plays football with the squad. (He even played for the reserves earlier on this season)
"It was around this time we were due to play Anderlecht and one day we were playing a five-a-side game and Chris, still injured was watching. The boys called Chris 'Silent Knight' because he had so little to say for himself. My team in the five-a-side was claiming a goal and I said, 'Just hold on. Chris, you were watching.' 'Yes', he said. 'Speak up, Chris,' I said, 'I can't hear you. Did you think that was a goal, Chris?' 'No, he said.' 'Good God, Chris,' I said, 'this is the first time I've heard you speak to me and you tell me a bloody lie!'" ('Bill Shankly')
He loves good football regardless of who it's played by. (See Comments on Torres goal)
Owen Coyle.
Remind you of anyone?

Re. Hodgson: We've known for months he was the wrong man. I've been scathing of NESV and have said for AGES that it would take something massive to actually get Hodgson the sack. As I've said all along they are clueless about football and have openly admitted it. I don't know why people got so upset about it, half of those that did are now calling for Roys head and blaming NESV for a lack of action.
Let's face it, they know **** all. They're learning but it takes time. I mean ffs, even those in football all their lifes make stupid decsions. Look at the ex players still backing Roy for example.
By all means, blow off steam. But in the cold light of day, think about it. We all know what should be done, but the majority of us have been following LFC for what, 20 years +? Of course we will spot what is going wrong. And even then we can't agree on who should take charge. Kenny this, Rafa that, even our ****ing youth coaches are getting touted for the job.
It's easy to make decisions from the sidelines. But in a weeks time everyone will forget who we each individually wanted, other than a few people who continually bang the drum for one person.Forwards.......
