Fair enough, then that's how it is.Originally posted by Reece View PostYou can't speak for the lurkers so let's leave them out of it. But it seems clear to me that the majority on here feel the same way as Craig about Hodgson. Fair or not, it's been pretty obvious on here the level of dislike towards him. And it's not just this forum either, the poll results from nearly every forum were in the 90% region in favour of getting rid of him. Fair or not, it is what it is.
RIP The Liverpool Way.
At least I have the memories.

Something has to give and I don't want to turn this into another Rafa bash thread..

I don't think anyone would argue against that, even his staunchest supporters would agree. But what has that got to do with this season?
The point is Rafa left a good squad he couldn't motivate above 7th or he left a **** squad that Roy appears to be motivating into the bottom half of the table. It can't be both despite how many times the Sky and Talksport morons of this world want it to be.

But he hasn't hurt my precious little feelings by telling our players they're sh*t. We conduct polls on this all the time. I don't want him to stay as a manager if better are available. But I certainly won't be disrespectful for these reasons alone. I wasn't brought up that way.

UmmmOriginally posted by BigChief View PostCraig, once you (and others) take their specs off you'll see like red n white and the other silent lurking majority that you don't have much. Grabiner would eat you for pre-breakfast if that's all you have. Honestly.

95% is pretty hefty majority.

I'm tired of referees that get away with it. Show the assistant ref the tackle and ask him why he didn't do anything? Then suspend him three four games.
Players gets injured because of **** referees. The assistant ref would learn that he must act next time if he get punished and by that way the players get the protection they need from all the referees.
If he don't get punished then he will just don't give a **** next time either and that may mean that a player get injured.

Of course the media don't matter but it does matter if one of your own (supposedly our leader) slags his players off after a humiliting defeat to Northampton to deflect blame from himself, prefers to keep pally with his mates (who manages our most hated rivals) rather than defend his own player and who feels the need to have a go at supporters voicing their disgust at the former owners.Originally posted by red n white View PostI grant you that Hodgson is not a media man and definitively lacks the sophistication of Rafa in that department.
But do the media really matter ?
Call me old fashioned, but I still happen to believe that they are a pain in the arse and totally irrelevant. This is not a cheap casting show we are talking about, but a game most of the media people don't understand in the first place.
All I am interested in is to see my team playing well and if Roy poves he can facilitate this, that'll do for me.
However, I somehow don't think we'll manage to agree on that, just felt that a discenting oppinion should be raised every now an then.

Have you watched many of our games this year? Roy has us playing a terrible brand of football, clearly honed through years of setting up average teams full of averge players to try and nick a result off bigger teams. We concede possesion in our own half and sit deep trying (and failing) to soak up pressure then hit them on the break. But we have a squad designed for a high tempo, pressing game, which is totally unsuited to Roy's route 1 crap (Eg, Only 1 aerialy dominant defender, no big target man up front, no wingers).Originally posted by red n white View PostI grant you that Hodgson is not a media man and definitively lacks the sophistication of Rafa in that department.

Added to this his playing certain players way out of position and his confidence sapping criticisms of his own squad and there are plenty of reasons why we've been so awful to date and why 95% of reds fans want him gone, regardless of his press comments.
Almost forgot. His signings are woeful too.
Thank you and have a lovely evening.
