Who was it that said most signings happen at the start and end of the window?

if we say its 27m and city flash 25m then it will be done. said much earlier that id guess we'd sell for 25's.
dont want to see us selling our best players but there does came a time when you need to stand back a little and do whats best for the club.
i wouldnt want us to sell Suarez. just because he has signed a big extension dont think that removes the possibility of him being sold...
if someone was to offer 50m then we would take it and go and buy Llorente for 25-30m and some other players with "potential"
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

To be honest, if Citeh wanted to pay £27m plus then I'd be tempted. I think he's class and would prefer to keep hold of him obviously, but for all we know he could be injury plagued next season (wasn't there something about his agent being worried about his back and wanting him to move to warmer climates? Probably bollocks but...). It'd be a gamble to sell him and obviously how we re-invest the money would be the deciding factor but that would then only be judge-able in hindsight.
But yeah, basically I hope we keep him cos he's great

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

But, It Just makes me think this all about money, and lfc needing some, just don't see Agger as the one pushing this at all, and it's very much a case of...if City/or another meet our valuation....Agger will be pushed out.Originally posted by Gibbo View Post

That's a very different scenario to UTD selling Ronaldo 'for the right price' too, as he was the one pushing for the move.Last edited by Vermilion; 09-08-12, 09:00 AM.
