Actually no. He's been playing well but the rest of the team is awful. Something like Scott Parker and WH.

In my opinion, keep Agger and bring in a similar style player for when he's injured. No risk factor there. If we then have too many defenders better to get rid of Skrtel or Soto because they are replaceable. In my opinion Danny Wilson or Martin Kelly will be moved to their more natural CB position's eventually anyway. Better to have at least 2 ball playing defenders then a couple solid but slightly more limited defenders like Carra.

He'd be a good signing IMO.

I agree. Hopefully we don't need to sell to buy therefore his value means nothing to me at present. I'd rather have Agger play half the season than sell him, but a new signing needs to be of similar quality/style.

i might be wrong but with the ffp rules it looks you can only spend a certain amount over a three year period that you dont generate. So selling agger while his value is still highish would mean we could do more rebuilding.

I wouldn't sell him, although I can see where you are coming from, that said if the club were to want to do it, now isn't really a good time, in the next couple of years we are likely to lose another two experienced centre backs (Carragher and Kyriakos) getting rid of a 3rd would IMO unsettle things.
