Daniel Agger

He's much improved and has been excellent in recent weeks but dont think he's the best until he can carry us to clean sheets the way Agger does. The best defensive performances this season have been with Agger and Toure and Agger and Skrtel, Toure and Skrtel together were poor for example. I dont think it's a concidence that regardless of who he's paired with we are much better at keeping clean sheets.

15 starts, 8 clean sheets, 20 not started 2 clean sheets. He makes such a difference.

I was going to post those stats but you beat me to it, 1 clean sheet in 2 games with him, 1 clean sheet in 10 without him, evidence is absolutely concrete on this I'd say, he's our best CB by a mile ATM.

It's a tough one. There's not a lot in it. I like Sakho a lot and he's still only 23, so will improve a good bit yet. I'm just not gonna worry about it - it's ****ing great to have two top left sided CB options to go next to Skrtel. I trust Rodgers to make the right call, whoever he picks.

Agger is our best defender but Skrtel has been superb this season.

Tough one but Sakho for me is third choice CB.

Nice to have options though.

I really like Sakho and think he's got a great future here, but at the moment I think that Agger just brings that added air of calmness and I'd probably go for him to start against Chelsea (with Skrtel).

I'd go for Agger against Chelsea - reckon him and Skrtel have the knowledge for the inevitable Torres squad rotation start at Anfield.

He isn't, Agger has a wealth of experience in the Premier League and has an understanding with Skrtel. I think there is an eagerness to write him off because of the amount of goals that are being conceded. Sakho is a boss player, don;t get me wrong, but I still prefer seeing Agger in there just now.

I actually think Agger, Skrtel and Sakho are three solid CBs - Sakho is only 23, has all the tools and will only get better, Skrtel has plenty going for him and so does Agger. But there isn't a partnership between them. That's a massive problem.

I would disagree there, and I think our defensive stats with these 2 in the side show they work together
