I rate Henderson so I'm happy with that buy as he's many yrs ahead of him.
Downing I was never happy with, before or after we bid for him.
Bellers was a free, I'm still happy with Enrique, was happy when we got Adam - not happy anymore tho. Haven't seen enough of Doni to rate him either, but he looked quite good when he stepped in for Pepe's ban.

I don't think 100K is significant nowadys, especially when you're looking for very good players. It also pales into significance when your competitors are spending close to double of that.
It started with Chelsea blowing us out the water under Mourinho, taking our targets from us to taking our important players from us over the past 2 yrs (ben, cnut & Meireles). Spurs overtook us in the last 3 yrs and now City have overtaken us and are hounding our players to make the situation worse.

So thats why I feel as if these owners are not stumping up the cash, just because you got burnt on one or two signings doesn't mean you close shop - especially in the business world surely?

They need to realise to get where we want to get you have to spend the cash to get the right players.
It is a lot for almost every other team, just not City and Chelsea. We spent very big and bought very badly. If we bought good players we would not be in this position now and we could have challenged for the CL.

Carroll, Downing, Adam and Henderson are all far below the required standard, Enrique is average and Bellamy can't play half the time.

What you are asking for is being bankrolled in the way City and Chelsea are, that isn't going to happen, this season we are now paying the price for Kenny's bad transfers.

when you talk about spending the best part of 100m over a window or two, i'm not so sure that where the money came from is terribly relevant anymore.

If Agger & his agent are angling for more wages then LFC will stand their ground and offer what they think he's worth.

The player said he wants to stay but obviously he wants more money so make him an offer and if he doesnt like it then he can fook off.

We need committed players not some mercenaries.

We need committed players that are good, not just any old ****e that would 'put their body on the line' or 'run through brick walls for the cause'.

No I'm not, I'm asking the owners to spend some of their own money to get us going initially. I don't believe they've spent much of their money in these transfers. The more they continue with selling players the further we'll drop. It was evident under Rafa in his final yr he had no chance, and since then we've lost a whole host of top top players... And it looks like the exodus will continue.

Your too good to be true, can't take the ball off you you got a heavenly touch, you pass like Sounness to rush. And when we're pissed in the bars we thank the Lord that your ours

The bigger problem is the money wasted, obviously Hicks and Gillett were pure evil but under them what we did have or make through sales was then wasted. We've been pitiful in the transfer market since 2008!

Degen, Ngog, Diego Cav, Dossena, Robbie Keane, Riera.

              Johnson, Aquilani, Kyrgiakos, Maxi.

Jova, Shelvey, Danny Wilson, Brad Jones, Joe Cole, Konchesky, Poulsen, Meireles, Carroll, Suarez

Doni, Adam, Henderson, Downing, Bellamy, Enrique, Coates.

Must be £200m in that little lot and it's only Johnson and Suarez that are/were vital.

I believe we had a net spend of around £35m last season. That is a lot.

If we lose top players it is because of Kenny and Comolli's profligacy last season and the club failing to make forward strides in the league.

We would have been better off giving the money to Bernie Madoff.

You're right its a lot but add in Carolll and Suarez less Torres, over 3 transfer windows FSG have bankrolled on average £12m per window, which in the grans scheme of things isn't going to turn us into challengers.
I make no apologies, this is me

Yes, but tbf, you can understand with the first window, a lot that was down to Torres imo. Second window, well funded, third, we don't know, it could be that Dalglish was genuinely happy with what we had.

I got it as well mate.

FSG need to invest, Liverpool as a club have done as much as they can, now the owners have to subsidise some major signings.

Yup, If Torres hadn't gone, then Carrol wouldn't have been here, but it does make you wonder if the summers spending might have been less given that they had funded Suarez.

I don't think they they can this season - Next Season maybe with the new Sky deal - Depends at that point I think they may sell up

I personally think they are being cautious are the dramatic failure in the league last season.
