I know something similar has already been posted today.

Took this off Paul Tomkins twitter page.

Andrew_Heaton Despite a nagging fear of having the word 'agenda' thrown at me, been told by an impeccable source the club are looking to sell Daniel Agger about 4 hours ago via Twitter for iPhone Retweeted by paul_tomkins and 30 others

I would be extremely worried about seeling Agger not just coz he is class albeit constantly injured. More the fact Roy wants him out due to his footballing ability and he would be getting his way.

I imagine Comolli would like the player not that he has seen him fit.

If its up to Roy it will be sell Agger and bring Phil Babb out of retirement. If anyone ever says that the Konch is the worst LFC player they never watched Phil Babb.

Babb had his moments. Just most of em were for the Rep of Ireland. There were FAR FAR worse players during those dark Souness years. Jimmy carter anyone?

You can't just keep focusing the wrath at PFK.
PFKonchesky is "functional" in the sense that he performs a function. Just not to the level that is naturally expected of a Liverpool player.
We demand international level performances - Good enough to -play for a decent international team. Good enough to warrant a place in the startng line up of the top teams in the country. We even expect moments of world class play, and some of our players are capable of giving that level.

But Paul, bless him. He tries. He could stay hours after training and really do his best, but sadly even on a good day - decent tackles, completed passes, decent crosses, he is mind-numbingly functional.
It's not his fault. When the reds come knocking you don't say, "Sorry. I'd be out my depth" Just ask Jermaine Pennant.

Kenny Dalglish signed Carter not long before he resigned. Souness can't be blamed for that one.

If we sell all our best players then we can lower our expectations accordingly, it is win/win for Hodgson.

I've always thought that every player has his price. Even Torres could be acceptably sold if it meant we could be a suitable replacement. Not sure who it would be for Torres, but the fact he's been injured a lot is not entirely irrelevant, a swap for Eto'o and Sneider for instance wouldn't necessarily be a bad move.

As for Agger, he's been injured a lot, so if we could in effect swap him for Cahill or someone similar it may actually be better for the team.
