We probably need another young centre back along with Coates as cover this season regardless of whether the Agger rumours are true. I doubt Carragher can cut it anymore. Kelly hasn't really played CB much and Wilson may not be good enough to fill that role.

Skittles and Agger with Coates as backup. Looks good to me.

I also want to say, been impressed with Cara in BR's summer tune ups... he has been poised on the ball and seems to have taken BR's passing on board. I don't think he's hoofed it much at all; been truly impressed by his positioning. I wouldn't start him, but against lesser sides in a pinch, he'd do just fine. throw in Kelly, who is certainly capable at CB, and we have cover for now with Coates/Cara/Kelly with Sama getting some time in the early stages of the domestic cups maybe? I have liked his play as well in the pre-season.

I can only remember once Carra hoofing it but he had to as he was under pressure.

I think that Agger's value is much more to us. The money could, if we're lucky, buy us a brilliant CB who maybe could play as well as Daniel at best.

Instead we have a beast of a player, the heartbeat of our team I think. He's brilliantly suited to Brendan's style and loves us to bits.

Mate i'm not saying i want him to go, be absolutely gutted.

What i'm saying is """if""" he does want out, well then so be it... but only for a big price. There is no LFC that would want Agger to leave LFC, but sometimes these things happen.

I'd like to know how massive a bid they are talking before we'd consider. If it was anywhere near 15-16 mill then it would be pointless as you would not replace his quality with that amount. I'd rather have one quality player like Agger than two/ three squad fillers that we could buy with the 16 million.

It's probably all paper talk guess work but it'll ****ing suck if we sell him for that price and bring a couple of mid range players in to replace him.
