I really can't see us selling either of our two CB's.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

The cynic in me would think that they've already talked with Agger etc etc, and the bottom line is, they can offer so much more football-wise to a player in the prime of his career than we can.Originally posted by Tee View PostI think it is unlikely that Agger is pushing this move. Roberto Mancini eyes Daniel Agger to bolster City’s defence

Manchester City have informed Liverpool that they are interested in buying Daniel Agger, but have yet to follow up their inquiry with a firm bid.
Brian Marwood, City’s chief football administration officer, contacted Ian Ayre, the Liverpool managing director, to register an interest in Agger, but was told that Liverpool are not looking to offload the Denmark defender.
Roberto Mancini has identified Agger as the kind of high-quality central defender he wants to add to his squad, a desire that has intensified after Vincent Kompany was forced to fly home from City’s pre-season tour to Asia with a calf injury.
Liverpool, though, would be willing to consider selling the 27-year-old only if they received an offer of such magnitude that it would afford Brendan Rodgers the opportunity to make a number of signings with the proceeds.
At present, Liverpool are proceeding with their plans to agree a new contract with Agger, who has two years left on his present deal, after he was described as being “very committed to the cause” by Rodgers, the manager.
But with Agger seeking a significant pay rise to recommit to Liverpool and City considering a bid, Rodgers could find himself in a position in which it makes sound financial sense to sell the former Brondby player, even though such a decision would be highly unpopular with the club’s fans.
Although he has often struggled with injury since joining Liverpool in January 2006, Agger has established himself as one of the Barclays Premier League’s most cultured defenders, his ability attracting attention from Barcelona and Real Madrid in recent months. Neither of the Spanish clubs have turned their interest into a formal bid as yet, but City have valued Agger at up to £12 million and are ready to make an offer if Liverpool are willing to do business.
Liverpool’s attempts to coax Andy Carroll into accepting a move to West Ham United appear doomed to failure even if the two clubs reach an agreement over the proposed transfer of the forward. Liverpool are yet to accept West Ham’s offer to pay a £2 million loan fee for Carroll for the coming season to be followed by a guaranteed £16 million for his permanent transfer should Sam Allardyce’s side avoid relegation. But sources close to Carroll insist he is unwilling to join any club that will not be in Europe next season.Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."
