Utd being linked with Garay and Hummells while we get linked with Caulker and Lovren. Thought it was all about CL football?

To be fair to Chris Sarb, who the **** cares who Utd are linked with? Or us for that matter? Actually signed is just slightly more important... and don't come with that no smoke without fire line, we once tried to keep a list of all reasonable links in a summer for LFC but gave up after it past 100 names. And as for Utd, especially given they only hired a new manager yesterday it is pretty unlikely that any of the media have any idea whatsoever what he might want, all they've been doing is linking Utd with every single player they can think of. Don't you remember this happening last summer? Every Utd fan I spoke to back then was convinced they were signing Fabregas and Ronaldo.

Plus there is absolutely nothing whatsoever to indicate Hummels would leave Dortmund, or that if he did he would choose ManU. In fact I very much doubt he would as Madrid and others would be all over it.

We are not going to spend £200m this summer, so if we are going to spend the whole time getting upset about "uninspiring" links for us compared with everyone else it is going to be a very long break. Jesus, being back in the CL did not suddenly change the blueprint we are operating under, it just relaxed the strings a little. FFP is still an issue and we still do not have unlimited funds for transfers or for wages, so we still need to shop clever. Not sure how anyone could think it would be different simpy for qualifying for the CL once?

Nope. I just find it bizarre how worked up you get by twitter gossip and newspaper articles. We'll sign players we haven't even been linked with yet like we did with Sakho last summer, we didnt even know we were going for Willian till what, mid August? Yet here you are in May, every single day with the "thought with the CL it'd be different" "What a shocking list of targets" "Bertrand, cant believe it, sickening" "we are just going for the easy option" stuff. It's really, really weird.

I made a post about Utd centre back targets and ours. I dont think Ive made hundreds of posts about our transfer policy at all. There's been a positive in all links besides Bertrand. And Ive not even harped on about that

But according to Chris and yourself I have. Which is totally ****ing bizarre in all honesty. Going back to last summer talking about posts then accusing me of making loads of posts on Bertrand when I havent is pretty random. Then you come along and have a pop
