I get the impression that Rodgers prefers Skrtel to Agger.

Assuming Lovren and Sahko will be first choice with Skrtel as first backup, that leaves Agger, Coates, Toure and Ilori fighting for the "final" slot. I'd expect Ilori to go on loan again.

I would imagine we would be open to offers for any of Agger, Coates and Toure, and who stays depends on what offers we get and if they want to stay and fight for their place or not. Toure will only be gone if anybody is willing to cover his wages; Coates we're probably stuck with until he proves his fitness; whilst Agger is probably on high enough wages to put off many clubs.

    In summary - no idea......

Surely Coates is on his way out too?
You would imagine so, given the money we spent on Sakho and we look like we're going to spend of Lovren, you would imagine that would be the first choice partnership. I don't see both Agger and Skrtel being happy to sit on the bench at least one of them will be off, and I very much doubt Coates has a future here either.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

He said in the interview, that he would not rule out a return to Brøndby, when the time was right. And his restaurant was sold years ago and his house is not for sale.

Rumours that Barcelona are after him

Rumours on Twitter says that Brøndby has bid £635,000 on Agger but LFC would rather place Agger on the bench and wait for the right offer than accepting that bid. Agger should furthermore have written a transfer request to the board where he states that he doesn't want to play in Premier League anymore due to persistent back pain. He do not want to play for any other club than his former club, Brøndby IF.

                  tweets

Reasons why I don't believe those tweets:
First, Agger stated a last year that he didn't have any plans ending his carreer in Brøndby, but wouldn't mind it if it would happen. He would rather end his carreer in Liverpool or at anorher club at the highest level.
Secondly, within the last week Agger stated ro Danish media, TV3-sport, that he wants to fight for a spot in the starting 11 in Liverpool - even though the competition might be intensified - Welcome to the club, Lovren.
Thirdly, Agger stated after the friendly game at Brøndby this month that he would not deny that he could become a Brøndby player...in the future. It would not be right now because the time had to be right.

In the last couple of years the Danish, Superliga, have seen some really good defenders come to the league, Mellberg, Boularouz, Per Nilsson etc. but Agger would be over the top. He would be the best player in the league by a great margin.

I like Daniel in Liverpool and hope he will stay, but he has suffered from some injuries over the years, unfortunately.

BRONDBY have bid £635,000 for Agger?

                    What the ****?

Are LFC waiting for Halifax Town to steam in with £700k?

That's a little lower than I was hoping for...

His time is up with us I think. Was a good player never quite hit the heights I hoped. A cracking player on his day just a bit too injury prone.

Would still keep an eye out for whoever he plays for.

I know. I another reason why. I don't see this being true. The amount is ridicolous and I don't see Brøndby would ever bid that for Agger. They know they would get a "**** off" reply so why bother in the first place.

If he does go for a price we think is cheap it does show that sometimes accepting a decent bid is the right thing to do.

He won't go for what barca city were willing to pay the other year. Think a move abroad may be better for him. Better climate different game etc.

Same as not accepting a big bid for reina from arsenal.

A good manager knows when to sell as well as when to buy. Under these owners you feel that they will reinvest sales into the team.
