He seems to play really well for the reserves but he looked really poor v Young Boys and non existent v Anzhi. Was decent v West Brom though. It's weird, no one wants to play him or buy him by the look of it.

I didn't think he did badly against Young Boys actually. It was an odd game though so not sure what sort of judgement one can make from it.

He's been here 5 years, he's worked under 4 managers and had 2 loan spells where he hasn't impressed anywhere.

If he really was as good as he initially appeared to be, he'd already be a regular for us.

I don't dislike him at all, I just don't rate him that highly. No loss IMO.

Surprised that he's not gone back to Spain to be honest. It's a shame that he never got given a chance so good luck to him at Leeds (if he goes there).

I don't know how long he has left on his contract but Rodgers clearly doesn't fancy him so we might as well just pay him up and release him.

Aye but your comment said he was given plenty of chancs which wasn't true. Whether or not he deserved more opportunities is open to debate, and maybe he didn't but it's not as if he got a good run in the first team and proved he wasn't up to the job.

On his pre season and reserve form, I thought he maybe should have got a bit more of a chance this year.

And he did well when on loan at Norwich, but **** knows what went on during that crazy double loan move.
