Its not a Pro-Rafa agenda its a realisation that Carragher might not be the football guru we all thought he was

Lets not beat around the bush here Carra is on the decline hes not the player he was a couple of years ago

Personally I'd still have him in the team as I think his organisational skills are still top draw

BUT his unswerving backing of Roy is ****ing mind-boggling to say the least

That to me is the only thing I hold against him and that worries me more than any role he may or may not have had in the sacking of Rafa

Truth is he's a very very average player, still a legend for his commitment to lfc, but an average football player none the less.
We've turned down quite a few bids for him from top clubs in other countries

I forgot about Traore to be honest mate. That was memorable but me personally, Carra and the cramp sticks out in my mind with all the other stuff I mentioned.

It does for most people, then him making a tit of himself telling Dudek how to do his job, haha.

            spot on mate.
I still think Carra offers a lot to the TEAM and will go down imo as a Liverpool Legend BUT i have lost a bit of respect for him for his "alleged" role in the Rafa sacking and the current backing of our worst manager in my living memory. Worse than Souey and that is saying something.

Perhaps we can do a buy-one-get-one free deal? Hodgson can be thrown into the package - cuts a dash in a blazer and tie (a key FA requirement) - and our ponderous number 23 shirt can wear a trackie and scream at the kids he's coaching.

At a stroke we get rid of two deadweights and their astronomical wages and they get shiny new roles with England. For starters I'd settle for Carragher doing one in the knowledge that his mate Hodgson can't be far behind in his departure

There are no downsides at all in this scenario. Everyone's a winner
Stop tantalising us with this dream scenario.

If gonks like Stuart Pearce can get high up in the England setup then anybody can, let alone 'deep thinkers' like Carragher.

I wouldn't pay much heed to Henry Winter's opinions though; he's a clueless, rabid xenophobe that would rather see the likes of Sam Alerdyce as England Manager than one of those nasty foreigners.

I don't think anyone should diminish Carra's role in the 2005 win, his performances during the campaign and in the final were absolutely brilliant, bordering on world class.
But that was 2005 and this is (almost) 2011.

Currently he doesn't warrant a place in our first XI (imo) and time waits for no-one as they say. Just because he is on the slide and struggling now doesn't mean things he achieved before and previous performances should be glossed over because they shouldn't.

Carra problem though is that like a lot to do with LFC he is living off past performances, history and previous glories not current.

Amazing hey, Winter wrote or co wrote or ghosted Gerrard's book, did he have anything to do with Carra's?? and was also very vocal in getting Rafa out and Hodgson in.

Winter, Gerrard, Carragher and Purslow. Cosy little group of self preservationists there

                      Bascombe 'ghost wrote' Carragher's book.

And people still speculate who Bascombe's source might be.

Hence the frequent exclusive interviews in the Sunday Sun. The malignant hobbit was the chief hatchet man against Carragher's enemies and rivals.

Yep, but they have since had a falling out.

I voted to get rid. I'm not sure about the "gob****e" stuff but he shouldn't have been given a contract extension. Great managers have always known when to move a player on. Shanks did, Bob certainly did and so did Rafa.

I won't shed a tear when Carra calls it a day at this club.
