I've just put my heart and soul in a succulent Spag Bol man, my wife's gonna like it and I'll be a legend, I get where you're going here.
      Are we winning?

        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

The Trafford centre would be a better venue for you and your 'boys'........

"When my leg was broken in an horrific tackle by Lucas Neill in September 2003, my mates were ready to hunt him down if I gave the go-ahead.

A few weeks later I received a phone call. "You won't believe this, Jay. We're in the Trafford Centre and Lucas Neill is walking straight towards us. What do you reckon?"

Did I really want Neill to take a crack? "There's only one problem," added the voice. "Little Davey Thommo is with him."

That was that. I could hardly let one of my best mates, David Thompson, now a Blackburn player, become a witness to an assault. Besides he'd have recognised the attackers. The impromptu mission was aborted and I sent a text to Thommo telling him Neill should give him a hug of thanks.

As word got back to Blackburn about the near miss, or should that be hit, their coach Terry Darracott, a Scouser, appealed to one of my friends to call the boys off. I agreed."

                What an absolutely embarrassing gob****e.

Dignity and class have absolutely nothing to ****ing do with it
If it was condescending then I make no apologies at all. I get sick of reading this rumour and that fact from people who couldn't really possibly know what they are talking about. Insider information and talk of contract details and exact monies. It's just ****e talk.
I'm not Hodgson's biggest fan but we've had so much upheaval and instability lately that I'd be very surprised if he was gone anytime soon. I agree with your points Birdman but I have an acceptance that it may take time for NESV to get their preferred people in place. In the meantime I'm just supporting the club I love. When I hear about people hoping for a defeat or a run of poor results it makes me angry. It's not the Liverpool way.

I'd like to apologise in advance for the lack of depth in this response but I cant think of a better way to put it.......

FA looking to invite Jamie Carragher to work with England development teams. Good move. Deep thinker about the game, doing coaching badges

As I have said before, Carragher would stick out like a sore thumb in any of our great teams - He's got no pace, is ****e in the air, and is a crap technically. His only asset is shot-blocking in and around the six-yard box.
Exactly. A wheely bin in the six-yard box at corners would be as effective and would certainly have the edge in pace

Has ANY top club EVER come in for him in all these years ?

Truth is he's a very very average player, still a legend for his commitment to lfc, but an average football player none the less.

Carra will go down as a legend and rightly so. Remember the cramping up in the dying moments of istanbul? That along with the 6 minutes and dudeks wiining save are what sticks out in most peoples eyes including mine. the rest was just a blur.
Traore's goal-line clearance of what was a certain goal was far more memorable - and important - than Carragher getting cramp

What have we become as a set of fans.
It's a rough time I know but since when did we ever turn against our own?
                                Rumours, lies and bull****.
                                Man up FFS!
Carra is going nowhere. For that matter neither is Hodgson whilst I'm on the subject. We have what we have and until they are no longer at the club I think they deserve our support.
We are LFC where you'll never walk alone. Some people should remember that.
                                Dignity and class.
Maybe Carragher is going somewhere. If the newspaper reports this morning are true - and the England camp is so surreal they must be - the Hoofmeister is being lined up for a coachng role with the FA set-up. **** knows why but let's not quibble

Perhaps we can do a buy-one-get-one free deal? Hodgson can be thrown into the package - cuts a dash in a blazer and tie (a key FA requirement) - and our ponderous number 23 shirt can wear a trackie and scream at the kids he's coaching.

At a stroke we get rid of two deadweights and their astronomical wages and they get shiny new roles with England. For starters I'd settle for Carragher doing one in the knowledge that his mate Hodgson can't be far behind in his departure

There are no downsides at all in this scenario. Everyone's a winner
