He is a Liverpool legend that used the change of ownership to get a contract he should never got.

This should have been his last season with us. NESV is clearly not happy that he got a new deal.

A legend that used the club isn't anything new. He is just like many other players. Thinks about himself first and the club second.

The problem is that the club allowed him to get in a powerful position in the first place and that is because we had a **** CEO a long time that wasn't powerful enough.

He needs to realise that LFC legend though he is, he is still also just a player.

Agree with most of the above, the sad thing is he's probably still first choice due to the lack of quality in our defence.

i think the real issue here is weak management. maybe we should keep these players and see if a disciplined manager can turn the club around first. if what we're hearing is true, then the first thing i would do is bring someone in to unite the dressing room. if players fail to fall in line, then get rid of them.

i voted keep as a squad player, because although i feel that if things are as they say, he should be given a chance as i wrote above, he probably isn't going to be good enough at defending going forward to merit anything better. bring in a younger replacement that can keep a high line without having a panic attack, keep carra for his other attributes that can help with the side and the younger players. if he throws a wobbler, sack his ass unceremoniously.

He should of course be benched when he comes back simply because he hasn't earned his place in the team and that is something every player should do.

He shouldn't walk straight back into the starting XI.

To long time it has been no competition for one of the central defender positions. No competition because Carra is Carra and you simply don't bench him.

I wonder what the players think about that. That some players doesn't need to earn a place in the starting XI?

Been done a lot recently on this forum and I'd be here for a while trying to write something balanced with the thoughts I have on him.

So I'll just say that he shouldn't be starting every week, and I'm not sure he's good enough to be a squad player either these days.

That should be the question. Agger should play as our left sided central defender when he gets back so one place left.

Kelly should play there until Carra gets back and then he would need to wait for his chance to play. If Kelly been good enough then he should continue to play.

Carra is **** playing as our left sided central defender so he really shouldn't even be considered an option in that position.

i was ripped apart once for intimating that it was looking bad for carra and gerrard as managers because their views on staff are really suspect

As long as he plkays it is ok whatever that is It would be worse if he stayed and played.
