I think it's gonna be ok - temperature is forecast to be comfortably above freezing. Pitch should be ok if it's 3 or 4 degrees.

Its supposed to be -10 degrees for Xmas Day and Boxing Day in Lancs - I'd be surprised if it was playable - It will be like playing on concrete

BBC forecasting a minimum temperature of 2C and a maximum of 3C for Boxing Day.

Midday pitch inspection on the day of the game. I still think it'll go ahead.

SSN Breaking News: Blackpool to hold pitch inspection at midday on Boxing Day ahead of Liverpool Game.

Blackpool will hold a pitch inspection at Noon on Boxing Day, three hours before their scheduled kick-off against Liverpool.

Blackpool do not have undersoil heating at Bloomfield Road and despite covering the pitch there is still some doubt over whether the surface will be playable.

"Ground staff at Bloomfield Road have been working throughout the night and will continue to work round the clock to try to ensure that the fixture takes place," said a statement on blackpoolfc.co.uk.

"While it has been well documented that the club does not have undersoil heating, several industrial hot air blowers have been sourced along with additional frost protection covers.

"The timing of the pitch inspection has been made in consultation with the Barclays Premier League, match referee Mike Oliver and officials from Liverpool.
"Club officials remain in regular contact with all parties and will continue to monitor the weather forecasts over the next 48 hours."

Just catching on the pitch inspection is tomorrow. I thought it was today for some reason
