I've voted yes but in my heart of hearts I accept it may not be for the best. So many divisions, so much baggage. But ultimately I trust him, I rate him and ideally I want him running my football team. Under Rafa I felt we could beat anyone in Europe, and we often did. I want those days back. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I would say that the yes/no divide is too simplistic here. I have no idea about a lot of the internal politics (every source you hear things from almost by definition has an agenda) so it is hard to say how the land lies. If some of the stories about Carragher and Gerrard's views are true then I think they are the ones who are holding the club back in a lot of ways and I'd rather Rafa back and them gone. If they hold more ambiguous views then I might judge them a lot less harshly."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

It would also be a no-brainer if it was a choice between Ian Holloway and Roy.Originally posted by lucas View PostIf it was a straight choice between Rafa or Roy it really is a no-brainer
It doesn't have to be a simple choice between the old boss and the new one. Rafa's time has come and gone and we should move on imo. Get someone else in to continue the foundations that he set. The youth set up should become Rafa's legacy at the club.
We need a young up and coming manager with an eye for talent that plays pass and move attacking football. Boas would be my wish but I wouldn't take a hernia over Coyle if I'm honest.

No, don't want to go backwards I want us to go forward and not least I hope we get a different type of mentality to the team. I want us to have focus on creativity and attack not control and center midfield. Secondly I honestly think it's to great a risk, and the love and esteem for Rafa would be in great danger if he came back so soon after a split that were not solely out of results.
Rafa would be a far superior alternative to the current excuse for a manager, but when he leaves I really hope we go in a new direction.

There was a trust between fan and manager - he knew us as fans and we trusted him with the club. I felt confident that he would take us to a victory in most of our games - not so much in the last season, but looking at Champions League draws and going "Yeah, no bother..." seems to be a million years ago - especially when we can't even score against Utrecht in a dead rubber match.
It won't happen, but I'd love to see him see through the project that was hijacked and destroyed by those ****ing "businessmen".

Even if he failed to get us the results given another season or 2, I'd just admit it wasnt to be. I'm left now wondering what might have been had it not been for G&H etc etc & at least then I'd feel like his time with us had run its course.Originally posted by Darkon View PostNo, don't want to go backwards I want us to go forward and not least I hope we get a different type of mentality to the team.
