      I guess every manager have that kind of problems but sometime is goes to far and you must show what is going on. Like the Gerrard to Chelsea bit. That was extremely incompetent by Parry.       The Carlsberg deal the same day as the CL final 05 also show how incompetent he is. How many millions did that incompetence cost the club? Five million a year? Four million? It is probably something like that only because he only got his job because he is a good friend to our majority owner.

      Parry wasn't good enough, not even close to be good enough. He is one of the main reasons to our current position.

      Then you think about that the clueless man wanted to build a 55k stadium without the chance to expand it? How many years later would we been forced to build another one? 15? 20? Another totally idiotic decision that could have costed the club a few hundred millions.

        It will be great for the club when we appoint Rafa again. It will truly unite the players and the fans and everyone will be pointing in the same direction....

        ...maybe not, but hey, at least some scores will be settled on the interweb, eh?

          i get your point and up to a point agree. However its not hugely uncommon in football and other managers dont through their toys out like Rafa does. From a fans point of view yes its a good thing. However if your an owner etc etc then its not an attractive way of working.

            Yes...want him back, never wanted him to go in the first place even after the poor season. There were far bigger fish to fry around the club in that period, but the one constant I would've hoped we could hold onto at the time was a manager who had the best interests of the club at heart.
            Old argument though.

            Not sure if it'll happen though, as I agree with those who believe the Comolli factor could be an issue (at least on Rafa's part)......less concerned with the one or two first squad who'd throw a hissy fit.

            Best, most realistic option at the moment.

              Don't you think he already talked to them before going public with his problem?

              If he did? What else could he do? He can't just sit there and watch on when the club is being mistreated. Then he must go public with it to get our support to stop what is going on.

                When we won then it was because of Sammy Lee and when we lost it was because of Rafa. Rafa was also an idiot that only gave money to charity so he would be more popular. We never played any great football, only **** boring ones. He even calls the 08-09 season **** and we won the CL 05 with Houllier's squad. He only sat on the bench and suck his thumb and wasn't up enough giving instructions.

                  I think most of the things Rafa used to complain / fight about have been eradicated via the change of ownership. We now have a unified senior management team, with a clear vision of how they want both the football & commercial aspects of the club to operate. Their are heads of department who all have a clear mission / goal & parameters of authority. There is no need to argue & fight anymore. As long as Rafa fully understood who is responsible for what & the extent of his own authority, & agreed to work within this I think things would go well.
                  I think the reason why Rafa wanted total control previously, was due to a lack of senior leadership, & the complete absence of a footballing philosophy. As it didn't exist within the club, he felt the need to create it himself.

                    what do the vast majority of managers do in that situation? they get on with their job.

                    from a fans point of view of course we are glad that he did it, but it doesnt help his employment prospects .
