I'm also getting tired of the rose-tinted view of Rafa's reign here, he did a good job in especially two seasons, but he also made a lot of mistakes down the road. He is a walking contradiction, and one whoms reputation is only held so high amongst a group of fans because he new how to play the game between his employeers and the fans, and take some battles that is in the end not a manager's to take.
I honestly don't understand the insatiable need to defend Rafa in all his doing and wrong doings? What is that makes a couple of fans get to the point where it almost becomes personal that there are views not in favour of Rafa? About half the fans across forums wanted Rafa gone last season (although it's a poor standard of measurement and far from representitive of fans), and as such that shows the contradiction about the man. But I would love if someone could explain it to me, that insatiable need, I mean it's not a bromance (although it almost seems that way some times), and I can't help but feel it's only because they have drawn themselves so far in to a corner they don't know how to get out of it again. Or perhaps they have named a pet or something else after Rafa and now have to defend it to their partner or something.
I think it's a good article Mr.M. posted and one that many fans can be relate to.
(and to the bit in bold, couldn't agree more, we have tomkins for making endlessly backed up little points, that essentially could be written in a sentence, and thank **** not all write like that.)
