I think it could be done with concessions, if nesv were to ask him...how much do you want it, how much do you want another go at this, then offer him the chance to do the job on their terms...but sensible terms, honest up front terms, also he'd need to come back knowing he gets no pay off should they decide it's not working, just incase it proves to quickly be the wrong idea for both parties, and of course he takes only a modest salary, with bonuses in place for certain trophies won, then review the situation at an agreed set time in the near future.

Would he accept all that, to get the chance to go again with lfc ? nesv get time... Rafa gets another go...it works or it does'nt, if not, it costs us only time, time that could well be spent with Bodger at the helm.

It also seems to be used as a stick to beat people who disagree with you - sadly, it's used to disparage others as "not proper Liverpool fans", usually, I imagine, by people who really are old enough to know better.

if sos pull this off then i'll stop my 'disband sos campaign'

i'd even consider buying one of their t-shirtS.

It would be sad, imo, if the massive anti Roy sentiment led to us appointing hastily and appointing Rafa because he's available. Still favour Kenny as a caretaker until the summer when we can reassess. If Rafa wants the job, he can afford to wait until then and then apply.

Completely agree. Rafa's not been thinking straight for a long time, now's not the time for him. Dalglish and Thommo until the end of season and then we can have a proper plan in place for the summer.

Rafa join us, and together we can rule the football planet as manager and fans.

Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

I'm really not in favour of this 'SOS idea'. Not just because I don't favour Rafa, but mainly because it mixes the messages. I would be made up with the crowd calling for Roy's head. That is the biggest problem we have and should be the focus. Adding Rafa into the mix brings all sorts of baggage. It makes it easier for nesv to disregard. If nesv have no intention of employing Rafa (which I suspect) then the protest is wasted and Hodgson's position in the eyes of the owners in unchanged. What a ****ing waste of time that would be.

An SOS campaign to call for Roy to go would get my full support. Fans can then lobby for whoever they want as a replacement once the main job is done; getting rid of Roy Hodgson.

Then again, expecting SOS to do the sensible thing is too much to ask.

Just for the record, from what i've heard, kenny doesnt want it. So if that's true, it's another avenue closed.

I know it's unrealistic but while discussing possible replacements for the old fart I've ended up dreaming about Kenny taking the job and bringing us number 19 in a couple of seasons - that would be a real fairytale

Im sure Kenny wouldn't mind doing it for just 6 months

Not what i heard mate, but who knows. If he's had dinner with John Henry and Mrs H, i'm sure the topic of managing the team MUST have surely come up at some point - it'd be one hell of a big white elephant in the room, to have not

We've already got a caretaker manager. OK, he's pretty careless (and clueless) but I cannot believe he's here for the long term. If I were in Dalglish's shoes, I'd suggest there's no point sacking Hodgson now unless the club was in a perilous position in the league or if the ideal long-term target was available.

As to the former, well, we may be ****e but we're not going to be relegated. And for the latter, I suppose time will tell.

Of course if Hiddink were available for six months then great. But, apart from Red Adair, there isn't really anyone else (as caretaker).
                                .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.
