Hodgson, i don't think was many peoples idea of a Liverpool manager, and so it seems has been proven, not only in the football we play but in the way he constantly shows himself up, making negative and embarrassing comments about our club.

It's not about who we want but who we get. Hodgson is on borrowed time, we all know that. When he goes i hope the new manager whoever he may be gets us back on the right track, how long that will take is anybodys guess
    Well that's fair enough.

You're quite correct it is about who we get rather than who we want but it does need to be someone that is going to be viewed as a long term appointment as well as being backed correctly by the owners and the club.

      Fair crack of the whip?

If he had more than 4-5 mill a year to spend perhaps, but he didn't. When he was able to spend he did great, with Masch, Torres and Alonso, but when he was restricted by the owners lack of cash he didn't. Would love to see what he could do with some proper backing.

What is so special about those attending games? Their views more worth than others? I've traveled from Norway to watch three games in my life, plus those played in Norway in pre-season, and let me tell you, nothing special about the people I sat next to.

Where did i say anyone attending the games were special ? So you think your more special than the people you sit next to I think you should spend a little time and read my posts in this thread instead of coming up with an assumption.

The same old, he never had any money to spend argument again eh. This has been done to death and i can't be arsed bringing another boring argument into this.

Whatever your views are the fact remains he sold players to buy others, the bottom line is he spent over £200m on players. Some good some ****e, like every other manager. We're never going to be Man city or Chelsea in the spending League, Hodgson wont "get backed" like their managers did and i doubt the next manager will either.

You implied that anyone wanting Rafa back was clueless or some other expletive - well done for that incidentally.
By mentioning the fact that 70%-80% of those that attend games have a different opinion you more or less imply that theirs is more valid as you don't appear to call them nasty names.

Fact is it certainly seems majority do seem to favour Rafa currently over RH in the greater scale of things. Yes they may use twitter or facebook or a forum, but is their opinion any less valid..?

After reading your last three posts I'm glad I haven't read any of the others.

200 mill. Just shows you have no idea whatsoever. On ignore.

Bulld0g - what methodology did you use to conduct your poll of match-goers?

Or are you guessing, based perhaps on a few people you know?
              .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I think both you and Icon should look at post #139. It was Vermilion who came out with the 70-80% figure not me

Now if you want to go back and check and stop guessing that i said it, things will become much clearer to you. I don't know why people bother jumping in on what the assume someone was saying instead of actually reading the whole thread. Chinese whispers

Oh I see. You thought your post to Vermillion's didn't imply you believe there's a difference in the opinion of us armchair fans and you true supporters at the game. It's funny that though because you made the distinction...

So, how about talking reasonably and stop being a pillock?

Ok, IF and it's a big if, there is a "tribute" to Rafa tonight, i stand by what i said originally. It would be a ****ing disgrace to the club. It would be a huge embarrassment to Hodgson and to Liverpool football club and their fans.

I believe the majority of fans who think\wish it will happen are forum posters. I believe IF it does take place it will be a small minority in the ground. And I believe they are embarrassing our club. Does that make it any clearer for those of you too ****in bone idle to read my posts.

Just to clarify to everyone, i have never said or implied anywhere, either on any forum or in real life that fans who go to the games are more valuable or should have a bigger say than those that don't. Indeed fans who attend on rare occassions usually spend a lot of money in the club on souveneirs etc.

As for being a pillock, Neil ? Didn't you mention about childish namecalling in an earlier post

No, it would simply be the fans showing their respect to a manager who many feel was ill treated and is still popular with a lot of us.

It's no different to when Newcastle fans wanted Allardyce out and Keegan back in. And I'm sure that you've been critical of them in the past, Newcastle fans I mean, for venting their anger from the terraces?

No, I have only really been critical of them for the "we don't care about defence as long as we are good at attacking" approach.

If Rafa is at the game, then it is perfectly ok for the crowd to show him respect. Was it wrong that Houllier was chanted for at the Villa game?
