Look out for my post next week: 'Daoism and the transfer market'.

Looking back at some earlier posts I cannot believe that people are blaming NESV for this/Hodgson. I posted in another thread the other day that it was a bit rich blaming after what they've done so far and was lambasted by people asking exactly what they've done! Does buying the club off Laurel and Hardy and clearing most of the debt now suddenly count for nothing?!

So they got it for a good price? Duh.... would you rather they'd paid more?
        Really?

I wish they had got it for nothing, but since taking over they have let the present situation get out of hand, most clubs would have sacked the bodge after Blackpool and the mighty Northampton defeat but no it has gone on and on we are now 3 points of relegation 5 of the bottom at the start of jan. So unless they start doing rather than talking I won't have any confidence in them. And if that upsets some people tuf ****.
It's a prediction thread on a wish list.

To suggest they've done 'nothing' so far is a long way wide of the mark - they rescued the club from certain administration, and for that I think we should at least show some gratitude.

As for the manager I would have been worried if they'd sacked Hodgson straight after Northampton. By the same token Moores should have sacked Rafa early doors - There's nothing wrong with taking a sensible amount of time to make a sensible decision, instead of making knee jerk reactions. Of course they should sack him, and they will, but the next man in could make or break us for years and they should take their time over that.

If you want to retain your confidence, then good for you, I don't think anyone will be upset about that,.
            Really?

I can agree with that, but I think Comolli can buy players who the caretaker can use as well as our next manager.
              * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

So if i rescue you from a burning building on the monday, and then see you get stabbed in the street on tuesday - and just stand by watching, doing nothing while you're bleeding to death - that's ok then?

O well guess we just wait around untill our great new owners do the right thing and without any knee jerk reactions, hope you feel the same way when we go down and the people that matter have still not made any knee jerk reactions about Mr Hodgson. I like your loyalty it's kind of the Liverpool way, very refreshing.

Craigy, we've had a pit of ****, a burning building and now a knife murder in a public street - when are you going to stop using unnecessarily colourful and overdramatic metaphors?

If these apply to LFC with Hodgson in charge under NESV, then what metaphors would you use to describe the situation immediately before NESV bought the club?
                        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

You misunderstand. I'm countering the idea that they have done nothing. If you think they should have done more then good for you. I'd like to see the back of Hodgson too, but my desire to have owners who plan for the long term is greater than my desire to see Hodgson get the boot tomorrow. There, I can't explain it any simpler than that.

                            It's not really though.

Roy Hodgson is a gaping wound in LFC, bleeding profusely. The bleeding needs to be stopped immediately before the wound can heal.

I guess we could argue all day about this, and I think we would like the same things to happen. I just feel the owners have had suffucient time to sack Hodgson and it hasn't happened. in 41 Years of watching my beloved club, this is lowest I have ever seen them, and this comes down to two reasons,

                              1. Hodgson
                              2. The current owners.

                              Lets agree to disagree.

With regards to stopping the serious damage Hodgson is doing, what have they done?
