That being said it is still not unheard of making mid-season changes. Such changes are much more likely in baseball, basketball, and hockey where you have a season that lasts 80 or more games. If you look to american football the "regular" season only lasts 16 games for the NFL and 11 or 12 games for the college sport. IMO makes it more difficult to justify a mid-season change.

DO YOU NOT THINK WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH NOW,,,, AFTER THE LAST OWNERSHIP SCAM, WE NOW HAVE OWNERS WHO TALK YET ANOTHER GOOD GAME, BUT DO NAFF ALL.

In fairness, Samuel Charles has a point.

Had we got a new manager earlier we'd be in a shout of top 4. Even if we'd just got one in prior to Newcastle and had beaten them and Wolves, we'd be looking like contenders.

Honestly, this season could have been a real opportunity for us - worst I can remember the PL being, instead we're languishing in mid-table in an average league - depressing

What a load of bollocks that is. Rome was not built in a day success is not going to come instantly and this season is ****ed anyway (and yes it was before NESV came in, not their fault).

When you are looking for the right people it takes time and I for one would prefer they did this so they got it right in the long run

If you want an example of new owners who know f*ck all about football coming into a club and making illogical decisions then Blackburn Rovers springs to mind. They got rid of an unpopular manager who had very limited success playing dull football and have replaced him with someone with no management experience and they're staring at relegation.

Sometimes change for the sake of it is not a sensible option to take.
                      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

and I think it will cost Blackburn dearly which is why it is important NESV don't rush , and they won't.

The fact that NESV have not dismissed the rumours in any shaoe or form leads me to believe something is happening

I am sure the process will be accelerated with any subsequent poor performances & results

Of course I am, I could hardly call it as fact could I?

I'd also speculate that Roy Hodgson was the wrong manager to appoint as a different manager would have us higher in the table. Again, I can't call that as fact.

Comparing us to Blackburn is madness.

Sam Allardyce was not deeply unpopular at Blackburn. They didn't like the football but appreciated the job he was doing.

However, despite what we all say on here, no one would let Hodgson go and bring in just anybody. But we do have Dalglish available who isn't inexperienced like Keen.

And unlike Hodgson, Allardyce was meeting expectations at Blackburn. In fact, he had them in mid table which is as good as it gets for them.

It seems the system will have to be completely over with before they will consider a change in the immediate future.

If we're lucky, they'll wait until we lose yet again in the league and get further away from the top 5, and then maybe consider firing Roy once we're also out the FA Cup. Lucky us.
