thats incorrect.Originally posted by Daniel Torres View PostI think he deserves a chance in a system that's more suited to his talents. He's played RM under Roy, ffs.
Alonso wasn't a big tackler either, he was accused of "bottling" it on occasion as well.
I reckon Meireles will be fine given a chance.
He was an immense tackler and never bottled a challenge. He won a lot of aerial challenges and a lot of tackles in central midfield. He was also a much bigger player than meireles 6' 2 to 5 9' I think.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

Personally I think Meireles can come good. Other than in the games were it gets a bit tasty, he's been a positive player for the team this year.Forwards.......

He's 27 years old, an experienced international. If he doesnt have the stomach for a fight now he's not going to learn it in the next year or so.
I cant see him being here next season because he's not good enough to play the playmaking role in midfield. So Raul is the new scapegoat, you two need to get a lifeOriginally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostHe didn't have a bruised ankle against Everton when he pulled out of challenges. And not all the ones he pulled out of today were two footed. Pain or not he should roll his sleeves up and get on with it. If he was at risk of further injury he wouldn't be on the pitch, especially with the new medical team.

Kelly's playing well at the moment, but that's also because he's not playing every game and it's keeping his confidence up. If he went on a run of **** games, it wouldn't be good.Originally posted by Arn View PostThe heart and passion is back
We are playing attacking football again
Another point is that if someone offered us £15m or so for Johnson then we should sell him. Kelly is good enough to play right back week in week out. Use the £15m and sign a top quality attacking player.
The Academy is starting to produce players for the STARTING XI
First Insua and now Kelly.
Who else would we have at RB? We're not going to get rid of Johnson and weaken our defence, regardless of how's been playing and not have any backup bar Kelly.

Well said, rushing him is not a good idea.

Lucas was very young when he came over. He'd never played international football and had never played in the Champions League.Originally posted by ric.williams View Post
give the guy a chance. lucas used to be a **** house now look at him
Meireles is a player I think who knits defence and attack together. He hasn't got an expansive passing game, but he does get play moving quickly and usually does very well on that front. Obviously though in the Premier League you have to show a lot of fight and he's not used to that. I'll give him time.Forwards.......
