I think that sums up the absurdity of the FA. Cheating is OK but showing any disrespect to officials even as a joke is clamped down on. I hope LFC and the PFA fight it all the way.Originally posted by Reece View PostAnd another thing - Babel gets charged for what was ultimately a joke, whilst Walcott actually admitted to cheating and......

To be fair, if you read the headline 'FA punish Prem player for comments on Twitter', you'd instantly put Babel as odds on favorite to be the culprit.
It was only a matter of time before he got himself into some sort of bother, rather with the FA than with the club itself.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

The chief executive of the Professional Footballers' Association, Gordon Taylor, insists Ryan Babel should be not be punished for his Twitter outburst.
The Liverpool winger is facing a Football Association rap for posting a mocked-up picture of referee Howard Webb wearing a Manchester United shirt.
But Taylor told Hawksbee and Jacobs: “So long as it’s not vitriolic, so long as it’s taken in the right way and it’s a little bit of fun then we’ve got to be able to smile at these things.
“So long as it’s taken in the right way and it’s a little bit of fun then we’ve got to be able to smile at these things”
“The fact they’ve had a penalty [against them] early on and then a man sent off they’re not going to feel too pleased Liverpool about the referee but at least the lad’s apologised and taken it off.”
Taylor also backed Theo Walcott for admitting he took a dive during the FA Cup draw with Leeds at the weekend.
“The lad’s been honest and I think we should accept it in that manner and from that point of view it’s a good thing,” he added.
“Theo’s a very open, honest, straightforward lad. The sort if you had a daughter and she came home with him you’d be very pleased.
"Knowing him as I do I just think it's an honest statement that he's made and he's made his apology like Ryan Babel did."-----------------------------------------------
'Football is a simple game based on the giving and taking of passes, of controlling the ball and of making yourself available to receive a pass. It is terribly simple.'

Not sure it was covered because I only briefly scanned the thread but I didn't see the Twitter comments from the QPR players in here. About 3/4 players said that they were going to do Diouf next time they met or words to that effect.
I really hope QPR come up and face him again, the dirty little *******.
