Kenny only been here 5 days, so he needs time to settle and time to find his team.

Really hope that fans will be patient this time, and accept that results does not come overnight. I believe that Kenny can very well be the man to give stability and install calmness around the club again, as it will take longer before (most) fans will start attacking him.
TBF, he probably hasn't seen them since taking over the team, no doubt he'll be meeting them in the next few days and transfer will on the agenda.

If Kenny picks a **** team like he did tonight, then he should be criticised just as Hodgson was.

Don't tell me to read up on my history of the club chap, i know all about it already. More importantly it has nothing to do with the point i'm making.
Kenny has proven himself as a manager though FFS, he's won everything possible. What's Hodgson won, the ****ing Ikea Cup?

You're being incredibly insulting here and it doesnt surprise me that you either dont realise it, or just dont care.

As for tonight, you can say he made poor selections, but if you're making a jdugement on him 5 days into his tenure, that's massively rash, surely even you can see this.

Whatever happens though, there's no comparison between Kenny and Hodgson, none at all. Hodgson doesnt even deserve to breath the same ****ing oxygen.

        Ah thats different

But the general desire and pressing was much improved

Manager in 2011 Craig, not 1985.

I think you're taking my points out of context and trying to make me look bad.

Unless football is now played with a square ball, it's the same sport and Kenny's record stands up next to anyone's.

Despite what Sky tell you, football was invented before 1992, and achievements from 20+ years ago are still valid.

And he's been a manager in 2011 for FIVE ****ING DAYS - and you're already making a judgement

I do see what your getting at mate and your right, Kenny will be judged by results like every other manager.

He has until the end of the season to improve us, Kenny is The King, ultimate LFC legend, but now he is well in the firing line and is subject for critiscism just like every other manager even if we have a soft spot for him. Early days and a bad situation and circumstance for him to come in but yes he made selection mistakes tonight, lets hope he rectifies this from now on in.

I don't think i've ever wanted anyone to succeed more than him. Could be so good for the club.

                No it wouldnt

Listen it was much improved tonight

I'll make points as to what I think went wrong and barring the team selection I'm not going to be pointing the finger too much at Kenny

We lack quality thats clear but at least we are showing more passion and fight than we have been

We have also moved up the pitch and have pressed higher
No it wasn't as bad as some of our performances recently but they were worse than a shambles (ie Blackburn). This was still a shambles. I will concede however that it was good to see a bit more passion, no sure about fight as that disappeared after that world class striker DJ Campbell scored the winner.

We most certainly lack quality to the point that over 180 mins we have been outplayed by a team that has just come up from the Championship, shown how to play the basics of football by a team that has just come up from the Championship and shown how to be a team by a team that has just come up from the Championship and it isn't just down to Roy, it was happening when Rafa was in charge so that's not playing for Rafa after the coming 2nd season, not playing for Roy and so far (and I do admit it is too early but I just don't think these players have got it anymore) not playing for Kenny.

I'm sorry Lec but for me the majority of these players are mid table team players, players we need to get rid of if only to get some new blood in but players that we will probably struggle to sell and if we do manage to sell them we will get what is considered to be a pittance for them.

                  Just my opinion of course.

I'd have played Kelly at LB and Johnson RB but it was clearly a side picked with tiredness after Man U and Everton coming up in mind.

Biggest problem for us attacking wise was Kuyt and Meireles NOT playing the extra pass wide to Kelly, they could have rolled him in for shots and crosses but chose to come back inside and shoot or try a more difficult pass.

We over complicated it a lot and if anything tried too hard in the final third, we (I) knew we wouldn't turn into world beaters overnight but at least we are trying to attack, press high up and pass the ball now.
100% support to the end of the season and we will pull through and improve drastically

Agreed we actually looked like we would get something out of this

just got home from pub!!! dire dire dire performance - we have real problems - worse than i thought - we can't keep the ball, we can't keep possesion for more than five passes without making mistakes, the first touch is terrible all round, the general all round technique abysmal

i am no convinced, that centre mid is becoming more and more a priority t improve - no fight, no pace, no bite - it's embarrasing - lucas and meireles are just meh....they are average, tidy simple footballers..

dirk dirk dirk - deary me, he's times gone - dreadful performance but he has been like that the last 3 or 4 games - first touch is so bad his second touch is a tackle - he makes the wrong decision every time he is in possesion, he has no pace, offers no threat, no final ball - sorry, cheers for ur hard work and ur professionalism but we have to move on from him now

defence - oh god, what a cluster **** that is - though they got no protection from midfield which was just non existant - hence why i think it is so vital for us to find someone who can do that job

and i aint starting on poulsen or jovanovic

also - very very disappointed we didnt' react sooner - we were struggling well before they scored - kuyt should have been taken off for maxi at half time - and then we should have been looking at ngog for poulsen if needed later on

                          need investment/need players now!
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Nothing to do with you know who (and I'm not sticking up for him), it's been evident for quite some time.

5 days and we have already seen two much improved performances (maybe not results fair enough)

But better performances will yield better results

Poulsen was one of our best players tonight. He was probably our most creative midfielder.
