    hahaha

The missus just handed me £45 quid. Apparently I sent her brother to the bookies on Wednesday when I was pissed to stick a tenner on Gerrard first goal. He threw it on Nando when he copped on Gerrard wasn't playing.

    Can't remember a thing.

Hopefully we'll have Aurelio, Maxi and maybe Ngog back in the team or Babel. We lacked quality last night but the passion and fight is coming back to them. We need a solid home game now and the derby is the perfect occasion. Im looking forward to it
Ngog won't be in the team because we're not playing Hodgson's 4-4-2 any more

Just read this in a Brian Reade article:

Blackpool will pay their entire squad less than £10million this year, whereas Liverpool will pay two players who did next to nothing at Bloomfield Road on Wednesday – Milan Jovanovic (£2m signing-on fee and £60,000 a week) and Glen Johnson (£100,0000 a week) – £10.3m.

it's a little foolish to compare blackpool to lfc, the two clubs are in very different positions.

              how's your evening??!?

We CANNOT be paying Jovanovic that much

I'm pretty sure Johnson is on no more than 80k too....which is still a hell of a lot

Shocking stuff that dude, but hardly surprising considering how many monumental mistakes LFC has made in the last few years.

The game has changed so much just in the last five six years.

Give some of our young players from the reserves and the Academy a chance. Players that can play free flowing pass and move football and is used to do it week in week out.

They wouldn't do any worse than players like Kuyt, Jovanovic and Poulsen for example. They would also be prepared to give 100% 100% of the time.

Get rid of the players that slow down our play and give players that would speed it up a chance.
Kuyt proves with Holland he can mix it with talented players and prove his worth as a team member. But I do agree with the sentiments. Despite what I say I'd probably sell Dirk. Never been his biggest fan and age is conspiring against him now. Best time to sell now.
                    Forwards.......

He's proved it with us he can do it too - worked well with Mascherano, Alonso, Gerrard, Torres etc before so i'm worried about Kuyt now.
Especially in that 08-09 season when he had his best season at the Club.

The legs seem to be going now though and he's lost a bit of his spark but even still i don't think you can leave him on Sunday.

Always had mixed views on Kuyt myself but as you say it's maybe for the best that we try to sell him when Clubs would still be interested...Not in this transfer window but the Summer. Provided we have a replacement ready to come in obv.

I don't think Dirk's legs have gone I just think Hodgson's 1980's fitness methods in pre season mean we aren't anywhere near as fit as we have been previously
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.
