I've got mixed feelings on Lucas and Agger.
One of the wide players needs to be a striker (Aguero).

Sell Kuyt, Jova, Poulsen, Konchesky and anyone else not mentioned.

Not being rude or out but, we deffo need a better calibre of player to replace him as he's only fit for a third of a season at best, surely there's someone better out there

to be fair i totally agree and i think in another thread i have mentioned it - tho, we have that many changes needed I would worry about improving our second choice left back once we'd sorted the other 6 or 7 problem positions

-Need to sign a classy midfielder to pull the strings.
-A defensive midfielder
-A creative winger that can tuck inside and has PACE

Funnily enough, I think we have a good back four already but do need a centreback and a left back for cover.

would be good enough to get us into the top 4 if the two players in wide areas are creative and capable of getting a decent amount of goals a season ~10.

I don't buy into this thing that the whole team is crap idea, yes there are some players in that team that I would like us to improve on, but the lack of creativity and goals is killing us IMO. You don't need a team of superstars just quality in the right areas, and the areas we lack quality most is the wide areas.

I think you'll find that the whole defence is more organised when Carra is in the team, ok, its time we need to replace him with someone of his leadership and dominece thats seen him organise the back four for years but, to make a silly comment like that is quite absurd

If "more organised" means Carragher shouting a lot, I agree. But he really is so slow and lumbering that he's a liability. And if he was so vital to our defence it doesn't explain why we still had a shocking record, conceded poor goals and had a negative goal difference when he was in the side

For me (without any signings) my starting lineup when possible for the rest of the season would be:

For some games I would like to see how Kelly worked alongside Agger and drop Johnson back into his usual position and give Babel some game time (as Craig mentioned it would be interesting to see if he could deliver given some prolonged game time under a proper man manager). For now I think right mid would get Johnsons form and confidence back along with someone who will attack players high up the pitch

I would get rid of Konk, Poulsen, Jova, Spearing, Darby now and Soto at the end of the season.

Babel and Cole need to step up are they should go at the end of the season.

Kuyt is also a worry for me, I would cash in on him while we can. He will run until his dead but his touch seems to be getting worse and his goals have dried up. We need an attacking right midfielder who can actually attack.

The players highlighted in bold I would look to replace at least by the end of the season. We must bring in support for Torres who is of a higher quality at this time than Ngog (I believe long term he could do well for us).

I would also get Aqualani, Insua, Degen and El Zhar off our list of player. Their time has gone. I would keep the youngsters to see how they progress, it will be interesting to see what happens with Ayala now.

I would like to see him in a DM position in a 3-5-2 going back into defence when the wing backs attack. Not so sure about a real DM in a 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1 because I just cant see him having the legs for it.
