But, what is going on today on MerseySide?

    Has he signed officially ?

Was that the medical at Melwood today? (pics in Liverpool training top)

    Has he agree terms?

FFS - this has been one of the most frustrating days ever........

Is there any body who can throw some light on this?

My guess would that they are waiting for the Torres situation to be resolved one way or another before officially announcing Suarez.

Crying shame that the biggest signing in our history will get zero attention until after the deadline has passed. Even bigger shame we will never get to see how he would do with Torres.

Everything points to this signing being made to fit around Torres as he's the ideal partner for Nando. Wait and see I guess.
          Forwards.......

Surely Torres isn't leaving this window, so he will still have plenty of time to play next to Torres. Who knows Suarez/Torres as a partnership might be the reason why Fernando stays in the future. Positives buddy!

If Torres has any decency he'll relent and at least give it until the season ends. This is what he wants, ambition and a top class signing. He owes LFC that at the very least.

                Have we completed this yet?

Liverpool have bought a £22million "street fighter" in Luis Suarez.

That's the opinion of Ajax managing director Rik van den Boog.

He said: "Luis is going to bring the place alive because he is a streetfighter.

"He arrived here with a decent reputation but he was not a big player then. In the dressing room he soon stood up and became a leader. That's why he was special."

Suarez does travel to Uruguay for home international games but Liverpool need not fear that he'll get homesick and stay in South America.

The Ajax boss added: "When he goes on his travels to South America he always rushes back.

"Suarez is back on the training pitch the next morning when he has just flown around half the world for a game for Uruguay. He immediately puts his focus on his club again.''

Van den Boog ended: "We'll remember him for his incredible amount of goals and what he has done for the club. Our fans were crazy about him.''

We need a number 9 if Torres leaves. I'm concerned we're going to rely on Suarez too early as our sole front man.

He doesn't strike me as the type to lead the line on his own either. I wouldn't want to be left with Ngog as our lone frontman.

He never will be on his own with all this third man running business. But yes, under Dodgeson's tactics, he would have struggled. I've read he likes to play off the striker

Still even with so many runners from midfield there would have to a certain degree of holding the ball up. He doesn't strike me as someone who would excel there.

Think he's best off a number 9 or on the wide areas of a front three.

This should be brilliant news, doesn't feel that way at all anymore.

I'm confident of him adapting to the prem though.
