    Assesment of the transfer window

So we lost Torres to Chelsea and Konchesky to Forrest (on loan), but we gained Suarez from Ajax and Carroll from Newcastle and of course not forgetting Conor Thomas on loan!

So question is are we a stronger team after this window or not? (poll will be added)

I will happily start by saying I think we are a better team now, and that we have more options than before. We have been very reliant on Torres to produce something on his own, and I think this signals a start to us becoming a better unit. We also gain more options formation wise and approach wise IMO.

Adding to this that we have gotten 50m for a player that has not been in form / the same for 1½ season and is unhappy here, I think for the team it's a good deal we have done. It builds up nicely for next season.

I think KK is happy with the development of the transfer window and him being able to get the focus on the team and not on the player.

Were stronger than before. If you consider we have gone from one incredible striker, to 2 very good strikers. If Torres stayed we would have been up there with the best.

            Sorry

Seriously - I think Carroll and Suarez will be massive for us.
For a Jan window where your main strike decides to call it a day it could have been far worse...

If we had managed to get Young or another winger of his ilk I would have been happier, but Im reasonably satisfied with the 2 we got.

All depends on how the new 2 adapt really doesnt it? You'd think we'd eb better balanced, but too early to say.
                3rd place. Worst champions ever.

I'm feeling pretty positive about it to be honest. Would have been nice to have added Adam and a winger, but I'm certain will sort out our remaining problem positions in the summer.

Really looking forward to our first game with our new strike partnership.

We would have had Suarez in any case so I think we just swapped Carroll for Torres. Having slept on it, I'm a bit disappointed. Could have done with at least one more.

our biggest problem area for the past so many transfer windows has been width. even though weve smashed our transfer record twice and paid the highest amount for an english footballer we still havent adressed the wide areas.

for that reason alone im slightly disappointed. however, well played to nesv unlike the past so many transfer windows we didnt make a profit. we broke even this time.

again slightly disappointed with comolli. not sure that with his extensive contacts and knowledge of football, he hasnt come up with a couple of names that anyone with a playstation couldnt have.

suarez and carroll arent exactly hidden gems.

Yeah, it would have been massive if we have manged to get another winger as well, but I'm pretty happy with it. I was hoping untill the last minute that we would snap up 1 more signing, but hard with the deadline.

But Adams still up for graps in the summer despite some competition, Spurs were apparently close to signing him just before deadline.

Anyone that says RIGHT NOW that we're a better team is rose tinted though it's understandable. Ask the same question before January and everyone would say we'd be worse off. Had we added Adam and Young, we would have been a better team, but what's happened is that we've swapped Torres and Babel for Carroll and Suarez, and Torres is the best player in that list by a long margin, it'll take time for our new forwards to have his impact.

                            Much improved.

Defenders are going to despise playing against Carroll & Suarez. We've been letting **** defenders like Johnny Evans have easy games lately.

Much improved. Selling Torres alone was a massive improvement and we brought in two strikers.
