Thats a good idea actually but i can see a torrent of abuse coming at Torres whether he plays or not. Once we beat them i don't really care, Nando is dead to me. I'd rather put my energy into supporting our new boys Suarez & Carroll. Actually feel for Suarez as his transfer was completely over shadowed by the Torres debacle and Carroll's signing. Gonna be a grudge match but sure lets see can we beat Stoke first.

that might be no bad thing,he has came in with little fuss and not as much pressure as carroll will have so hopefully will hit the ground running

You do know that is bolloks. Benitez had tried to replace Alonso the season before with Barry. Why would a player want to stay when only as season before that the manager was trying to replace him.

Nobody ever tried to replace Torres and Torres was never once made to feel that the club may consider getting rid of him, unless he actually left them with no choice!

If a player just want out because the club want to sell you then he doesn't have that great mentality. If he then end up staying then that should be that. Forget about it and move on. The following summer we got £30m for him thanks to that we turned down the bids the summer before.

Finnan moved on and stayed even that we wanted to sell him. Didn't had any problem with that. He fought even harder to show that we made a mistake. That is great mentality. Xabi did the same.

The 09-10 summer we as I said got a very good price for him. That summer Rafa didn't want to sell him by the way. He wanted to keep him but Xabi wanted to leave. Probably because Real was now interested.
