i certainly dont think i am a better fan becuase i wont call him a cunt. infact most of the people calling him a cunt are much better supporters than i am.

i just think we should as fans show a bit more class. and also take a few other things into account. such as he could have gone in the summer could have done lots of worse things.

a. It was done so late in the window, it looks like we panic bought Carroll and we paid over the odds.

b. He could have been a bit more classy with his comments when he joined the chavs.

I will never understand why some fans think that Xabi is a legend and Torres isn't. Both of them did many great things for us and both of them left.

Xabi could have stayed. It was his decision to leave. Torres could have stayed. It was his decision to leave.

Xabi also put in his transfer request very late. The same as Torres.

Two very very similar transfers.

You do know that is bolloks. Benitez had tried to replace Alonso the season before with Barry. Why would a player want to stay when only as season before that the manager was trying to replace him.

Nobody ever tried to replace Torres and Torres was never once made to feel that the club may consider getting rid of him, unless he actually left them with no choice!

Thats a good idea actually but i can see a torrent of abuse coming at Torres whether he plays or not. Once we beat them i don't really care, Nando is dead to me. I'd rather put my energy into supporting our new boys Suarez & Carroll. Actually feel for Suarez as his transfer was completely over shadowed by the Torres debacle and Carroll's signing. Gonna be a grudge match but sure lets see can we beat Stoke first.
