This is our biggest game of the season anyway, that's for sure. Hope we have a good result, c'mon you reds!

Even though the rat has joined them, I still hate the Scum more. I think it'll be Kuyt up front with Suarez on the left. I believe that if we take our chances in this game (there is some obvious movement in recent games where we have opened massive gaps in defences) we could really obliterate that Chelsea defence on the counter. Their defence is still sh1t. They are improving, but we should not fear them at all.

what sides have done to us for quite a while now, interest in a player is usually followed by the chavs, mancs and spurs these days trying to get in ahead of - thing is now perhaps we have the financial clout to play on a level field, have to see about that but feel more confident than I have in years with the owners.

Yeah I agree and hope we can keep our targets out of the papers. I like the closed door idea where we have no-one leaking info to the press.

They do but there is a shortage of really good quality players so it is not unusual to see more than few big clubs interested in same players.

It will be interesting to see if we we have financial backing to go after these players rather than just being linked with them.

I feel cautiously optimistic and think we will be bringing few good signings in summer and that is all we can ask for.

I think if we get a point everyone would be mildly pleased. A draw at the Bridge is normally a really good result. Problem is we really need to win if we are going to have a chance of 4th spot.

Beating Chelsea would really give the players a jolt and make them believe they could yet sneak a CL place. Shame Carroll isn't available as I think he's gonna be class for us and I'd give us half a chance if he was fit and on form.

Think it's gonna be a backs to the wall job for the majority of the game, but if we can keep it tight early on the clean sheets from the previous games should be enough to keep the confidence we can shut them out.

Chelsea have proved very dodgy at the back of late so if we keep a clean sheet we win the game IMO.

Chelsea mate of mine reckons Torres & Drogba up top, with Anelka the

head of a diamond midfield along with Malouda, Lampard and Essien

I wouldn't imagine Anelka would be on the pitch as well as Torres & Drogba, unless they go 4-3-3

They played 2 strikers, with Anelka just behind, at Sunderland - in preparation for the inclusion of Torres IMO.

They'll go Torres & Drogba up front, Anelka just off, and 3 CMs in the form of Lampard, Essien and one other (Mikel or Ramires). Width coming from RB and LB.

I agree he'll play up top. Just seen his Press conf, and ancelloti said words to the effect "he's not a winger, he's a striker, so it's up to us to make him and drogba work together".

Did any of you catch his chelsea p.c. btw?
What's thoughts on it?
Think he seems at pains not to cause any more controversy with comments anyway.

I would put Gerrard back a bit, and Meireles higher up, Gerrard is better further back and might help defensively against Chelsea.
