I think so We just wake up after last weeks.

We had missed Agger too much. And although i think we could have won this match, our play hasnt been good enough.
We need more goals, specially playing against these teams.

And Jova and Glen have been specially bad. Changes have meant nothing

Losing Raul didn't help matters. Lucas dallies to long at times but getting better. Luis Suarez is a cheat much like Ronaldo, I suppose it'll be a change having one on our team although I hope Kenny and tell him to cut the dives out. Kelly had another good game as did Carra. Carra made some great blocks. Kuyt up front is much better than out wide. Although his passing was piss all game. Jova is ****. Ngog needs more games. We didn't lose, we're still a work in progress, onwards and upwards.

One last thing, those predicting a comfortable victory, have they not been watching the PL this year? Shocks are two a penny. You can never flick through the fixtures and say thats a banker.

Carra was defensively very sound but his passing was **** all game, couldn't wait to give it away. Infuriated me no end.

So is that why he seems to have forgotten how to play football?

Seriously, every time he got the ball, he either lost it or managed to somehow not completely **** up and get the ball to another player.

We missed Gerrard and Agger. We have the players in our squad to beat anyone, we just can't afford to miss certain people. I said before, if we can stay injury free we have a chance of 4th. We just miss depth in our squad.

Anyhow, if 4th was difficult before, it is almost impossible now. Genuinely gutted. I'm not suprised, just pissed off I was daft enough to get my hopes up.

We really showed our lack of midfield depth today (especially after Raul went off), we need another attack minded player we can bring in there and some extra quality to play wide as Jovanovic is not really upto the standard we require.
Kuyt was disappointing which is a shame as he had been excellent in the 2 previous games, Kelly was very poor too and neither did enough going forward or enough in defence were Carra constantly had to cover for him.
Positive though that Suarez looks very good.

calm down lads, we played well, they got their goal via offside, suarez hit the post. the desire was there and if we play with this kind of hunger in our next games we'll win 90% of them.

It was a **** result but I couldn't fault our desire and our will to win. We kept going and tried to pass it in the final third. Suarez was fantastic, very very clever player. He'll score a lot of goals for us.

N'zogbia wouldn't be anything more than a squad player either though, he lacks quality to be anything but if we want to really do anything.

Heh, I think people are over reacting. Today exposed a few deficiencies we already knew we had, and we were quite unlucky. Wigan, who have one or two decent players btw, also played well.

- Their goal was a mile offside.
- Suarez was excessively unlucky not to score with 2 off the woodwork. He's good though.
- Kuyt, and then Jovanovic, were really poor. I thought some intelligent play broke down baldy with either of those on the ball.
- Glen Johnson having no left foot was an issue on several occasions
- No Agger and Gerrard makes us much weaker.
- Our set pieces need to improve

As we were then, 4th was always going to be some ask.

Andy Carroll will also hopefully make a big difference to us in games like that.

Looked to me like Lucas could have used a rest too.....looked very heavy legged at times

We did not play that well - Wigan had us chasing the ball too much.

Suarez looks the real deal, just hope the slight colourful falls don't become a habit...
