OK, in a young player coming into an away Euro game kind of way.
If you wanted to be critical, you could argue there was minimal, and I mean minimal, movement down the left side. Not just his fault though in fairness.

Should go with the strongest team possible regardless of league games.......its time these fools started earning their wages, and its not like we're playing many more games than previous years.

I agree. This is our one chance of silverware this season, we gave some fringe players a game in the first leg and the tie is delicately balanced. IMO it would be foolish to put an understrength side out and risk going out.

Just remembering those times in Europe with Rafa when we almost needed to conceded the first goal in order to get ourselves out of first gear. Ah memories......

I agree we should start with our strongest X1 and rest those that need it when they've done the job. This is our last chance of silverware so we should go for it.

I guess there is that possibility although I guess if we were to go with a full strength team (which IMO we should) Skrtel and Kyriakos would be ahead of him in the pecking order

Well I'd like to think so too but will Kenny rest some players with WH in mind? I read that Wilson was hoping to start again. How did he do really over there? I only watched a stream so couldn't tell TBH. We kept a clean sheet so me mustn't have done too badly ? But with Agger back will we go with a 3 man backline do you think?

Certainly hope Kenny doesn't rest some first teamers with the West Ham game in mind - this is our only hope of Silverware this season and we've no FA Cup ties so it's not as if we're overloaded with matches is it?

Only saw the 2nd half myself but Wilson was pretty solid - not a left back by trade but he defended well...bit strange seeing a full back for Liverpool that can actually defend.

I'm pleased that he got a game and did OK. He's only 19 and the game will give him confidence and satisfaction that the gaffer rates him too.

Even at 19, it's important players at that age play with the first team from time to time.

They look like fairly spiky ends on that fence, you wonder why so many of us on here spent so much much sitting on it.

I would be suprised if Skrtel is moved on this summer to be honest as he's played in almost every game for us this season. IMO Wilson isn't ready to step up to be a regular yet and with Carragher and Kyriakos getting on and Agger being prone to the odd injury I think we could leave ourselves short of experienced cover.

BTW I saw on wikipedia that Kyriakos is out of contract in the summer. I'd not seen this mentioned anywhere here.

Almost certainly the bench I'd say.

I don't think I am sitting on the fence. I expect us to win comfortable but if they sneak an early goal I don't think we're good enough in the attacking areas to come back from it, that's all.
