Thanjk you.

I would be suprised if Skrtel is moved on this summer to be honest as he's played in almost every game for us this season. IMO Wilson isn't ready to step up to be a regular yet and with Carragher and Kyriakos getting on and Agger being prone to the odd injury I think we could leave ourselves short of experienced cover.
BTW I saw on wikipedia that Kyriakos is out of contract in the summer. I'd not seen this mentioned anywhere here.
I'm on the fence with regards to Skrtel TBH.
Kyri must have only signed a short contract then ? I'd give him a years extension I would.
If he can manage to get to the bench under his own steam......lugging around that wallet must be extremely draining.
On a serious note, I've love to know what's going on fitness-wise with Joe. Its not often you'd see a player at a top level club looking so out of shape, probably overweight and lacking in energy and overall stamina. Would hope our staff would have have a consistent monitoring system for all our players with goals, targets etc etc
I don't think I am sitting on the fence. I expect us to win comfortable but if they sneak an early goal I don't think we're good enough in the attacking areas to come back from it, that's all.
nowt wrong with that.

I have my doubts about Skrtel's ability and future with us, but I think squad evolution should be a slow but continous process and would just be wary of changing too much too soon. If sell Skrtel and sign a replacement that doesn't work out in a years time we could find ourselves needing to replace Carragher, Kyriakos and the new guy, leaving us with just an injury prone Agger as our only experienced centre back. I think we should be looking at keeping Skrtel (at least as an experienced back up) until we have a suitable replacement for Carragher/Kyriakos, unless of course someone comes in with an offer too good to turn down.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Yeah that all makes sense to me. What about the talk of Simon Kjaer as carra's replacement. If we could get him in the summer we'd have a year to bed him in before the old horse gets put out to pasture.

I've heard good things about him although I haven't really seen enough of him to form a good opinion of my own. Hopefully internaional experience means him and Agger can work well together which would he help him settle if we do sign him.

Kjaer had pretty weak WC but to me he'd be a step up on Skrtel.
Off the topic for a moment but personally for me Subotic would be my number 1 choice for CB in the summer but Kjaer would be more than decent upgrade.
I agree Skrtel needs to stay as I don't think we will be renewing Soto's contract and with Agger's injuries woes we need some with Skrtel's experience (and Carra's) that can step in easily.
The only question is do we have to sell before we buy or not. I hope not.
