O'Donnell featured in Liverpool's pre season friendlies against Wrexham and Crewe Alexandra and excelled on both occasions. He played well enough to impress Crewe to make a move to get him on loan. It was announced on August 7, 2006 that he would join Crewe Alexandra on a six-month loan deal and would wear the number 37 shirt. His loan deal was extended in December 2006.

Voronin have scored for Leverkusen in the UEFA Cup against Lens.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

IDRIZAJ SENT ON LOAN TO LUTON

Besian Idrizaj has become the latest Liverpool reserve player to be sent out on loan.
The Austrian striker has joined Championship strugglers Luton Town until the end of the season.

Idrizaj, 19, signed for the Reds from Linzer ASK in the summer of 2005.

He netted twice for the reserves after coming off the bench against Wigan Athletic on Tuesday but is yet to make his first team bow.

Peltier is a replacement for John Welsh who broke his leg in a duel with Niell Mellor. It`s good to see ex-players help the clubs youngsters getting match practise.

Just had the radio on for a bit whilst in the kitchen cooking tea and apparently Guthrie is having a stormer for Southampton against the mighty Colchester tonight. He almost scored with an audacious, Alonso-esque 50 yard effort that the keeper just saved.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Guthrie is the best player on the park, Saints playing some lovely football.

Jesus, talk about falling attendences though ?! Their ground is half empty and you can hear a pin drop.

                              Sinama-Pongolle plots more Barça misery

Barcelona must have hoped they had seen the back of Liverpool after their Champions League exit, but this evening their tenuous hold on La Liga is threatened by Florent Sinama-Pongolle, who is on loan from Anfield to Recreativo Huelva.

The French striker has been in excellent form for the Andalucian club and believes Frank Rijkaard's 3-4-3 system is vulnerable. "If we pressure them like Liverpool and Real Madrid did, we can win," said Sinama-Pongolle. Barcelona have not won away in seven league matches.

Seville, who trail Barça only on goal difference, host Celta Vigo tomorrow. Valencia, in third, will include Fernando Morientes at home to Racing Santander tonight despite an injury to his big toe which has forced him to tear a hole in his boot to relieve the pain. Real Madrid, five points behind Barça in fourth, host Gimnastic tomorrow. Javier Portillo, Real's former striker, is unable to play under the terms of his transfer, a clause Gimnastic goalkeeper Albano Bizzarri said should be outlawed. "It is just a way for the club directors to cover their own backs," he said.

In Italy, runaway leaders Inter are at Ascoli tomorrow. Claudio Ranieri's Parma play Siena seeking their first win in eight matches since his return to the club.
